About Real time Campaigns in Campaign V8

Hello,

 

We are migrating our entire adobe campaign standard platform to adobe campaign V8. In ACS we are having transactional messages which are profile based and non-profile based. how does profile based transactional message works in V8. If profile based doesn't work in V8, do we have any sort of option to link the transactional message event to an custom schema to apply some custom typology rules or some other processing?

Customers from ACS to V8 have a special version of V8 8.7.2 where all ACS features will be back ported, that includes profile type transactional deliveries...

 

It is on H1 2025 road map to bring these features to V8.

 

If you are migrating to V8, you are workign with Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud Service team (ACMCS) and you have normally a dedicated Transition Manager, I suggest you are working with this team to plan your migration

    Thankyou very much for responding back costa, You are right we should have some sort of transition manager but we don't, at this moment! 


    Q- So you are saying that we don't have currently the capability to link any schema with the event like we did in adobe campaign standard? 


    Q- Also, We have some custom typology rules in our process which checks data from certain schemas. Now if we don't have the option to link event with any schema, we won't be able to apply those typology rules as well?

    I answer to your questions in blue:

     

    Q- So you are saying that we don't have currently the capability to link any schema with the event like we did in adobe campaign standard? Yes, in Campaign v8 there is no direct capability to link any schema with an event like in Adobe Campaign Standard. You can work on this by using an Enrichment linked via additional data in event configuration.


    Q- Also, We have some custom typology rules in our process which checks data from certain schemas. Now if we don't have the option to link event with any schema, we won't be able to apply those typology rules as well? Without the ability to link events with schemas in v8, typology rules that depend on sche,a data may not work like in Campaign Standard. For this you might need to pre-process data with the help of workflows to store the necessary data.
