Adobe Workfront General

Has anyone ever created a routing rule for a project with a default team AND a default assignee (where the default assignee isn't part of the default team?) If so, do both the team and assignee get notifications? I'm wanting to have a way that when one person from one particular team is out of office, a user can be added to the other teams routing rule just while they're away to be notified when new requests come through so I'm wondering if I can add that person as the default assignee just in that time? Hope that makes sense  

Within a custom form, is it possible to add logos via the image field and then use the custom field to only have one of those image fields display based on the user's associated company?

Hello All, I have the calculated field below and the result I am getting is, it is showing me the L2, L3, & L4 levels. However, I want to see only L4, unless it is Blank then I want to see L3 and if that is Blank then for it show L2. Hi there,We are trying to assign tasks on a project in Workfront. When we go into the Workload Balancer, we are expecting to see users available to us so that we can assign a task.As per the guidance on the help site it states that :But we can't see any active users by default, they only appear if we manually assign individual tasks.Please can anyone advise on how we can view all users (and then apply filters) on the workload balance in the 'Assigned Work' section.Thanks in advance

is there a best method to record delays in a project? i'd like to start a project, and at the end look at how the project ended up and see that from the start of the project to the end, where the timeline shifted so its easy to report on who or what was the cause of the delay. 

Hi community! I inherited a workfront instance with dozens of statuses across teams and objects (projects, issues and tasks). These statuses all boil down to essentially the default and make it really confusing for the users. I want to delete the statuses and combine them, which is pretty straightforward. What is NOT straightforward if finding which reports are filtering by those statuses (we also have 2K+ reports, many of which need to be cleaned up but that's a whole other project. I can't find a way to create a report that shows the way reports are filtered. I have tried the report about reports, but I can only see filter id, which I can't figure out how to match with the actual filter being used. Any guidance would be suer appreciated!

Hi, I need the value of a type ahead field that lives at the project level to populate a calculated field at the task level. Is this possible? Project Level = Story Lead (type ahead field.) I need this value to also live on a task under the project. I thought calculated field would be the way to go but it doesn't seem to be working. Can this work? I have a custom field where people can select a Workfront User. What I want to do in a Fusion scenario is read that user record and then use the email address associated with that user in a follow-up step. However, when trying to read the user record, I get stuck.  The field is formatted like this: {"objCode":"USER","name":"Joe Blow",ID":"5ba3fakeID2222a9620b7d6c1173a093"} ... so the Read a Record module returns an error for invalid ID.  How can I use Switch or String or some other module to only use the ID portion of this string? 

Hi, I'm wondering how other companies report on Program start and end dates given there are no native date fields for this.  To date my org has been creating a separate project that the PMO team would monitor and keep current as new projects are added to the program.  This project served other purposes as well, but our ways of working are changing and we don't need that project anymore, except maybe for the sole purpose of depicting program timelines.  So I wonder how other surface program start/end dates (and why there aren't native fields for this today that display the earliest and latest dates from all child projects)?

I have a three stage proof workflow that has 1st stage being set to deadline of 4/3/23. I have the second stage with a deadline of 4/6. I also have a third stage with a deadline of 4/6.    When I go to My Work under the user who should see their proof approval deadline of 4/3/23 it shows 4/6/23 8pm (last stage).  I am sure it is the way I set it up, but I have tried many variations and can't get it to work right. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.       

I have a proof approval report that I used to keep proof approvers on task if one of their proofs becomes late. Within the last few weeks, I've noticed that the Proof Deadline date doesn't always show for some proofs, those items are labeled with "No Value" instead of a date. I've double checked the settings on all the workflows and they are set up the same way, so I'm really at a loss as to why this in happening. Anyone else having similar issues?

I am compiling a user report to use determine the proper access level, layout template and proof license based on job role and group. I am able to get everything I need except the proof permissions profile. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I would like to filter out projects that DO NOT have a specific custom form attached + that DO have other specific forms attached. We're able to easily collect one at a time but we cannot combine the two filters, does anyone have any suggestions on how we could achieve that?  Almost all of our projects have around 5 custom forms attached, not in any particular order unfortunately. For example, we would like to have a report showing what projects have our 'internal reporting form' but are missing the 'audit form'.  Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi Folks, Budgeting Best Practices within Workfront is an interesting topic, but one I've not read much about within community.my.workfront.com, so I decided to post the advice I just gave a new client (below). In their case, they've set up Portfolios, each with a Budget on them (under the Portfolio Optimizer) against which Projects (organized into Programs) should "draw" throughout the year. Each Portfolio also has a custom data field on it called Budget Year, which is currently set to 2019 (this year) on every Portfolio. There are also a few other nuances we've sorted out (namely, "sub-portfolios", "project level budget additions", and "actual expenses draw downs"); but otherwise, a pretty standard usecase. That said, the one place (time, really) budgeting could be a problem will be when rolling over to a new year. I’m familiar with using Smartsheet and Jira, where each team has its own project linked to a master project. Currently, I’m working on a project where all teams are in a single, shared project, which makes it challenging to generate status reports for my team specifically.Could someone direct me to a tutorial or resources on setting up Workfront so that each team has its own project linked to a master project? I'm trying to add the entryDate for a report on my Reports view, but can't find the field "entryDate" in the API. I see enteredBy:entryDate but this gives the start date of whoever created the report not the reports creation date. I see modDate as an option, but no entryDate. Seems odd... am I missing something?

Is there a way to structure a Task report so that the parent-child relationship is clearly visible, i.e. sub-tasks are indented beneath the appropriate parent task? We have a task report that shows all tasks that are either late or due within 2 weeks, sorted in date order from oldest to newest. It's often challenging to understand the context or purpose of a specific task when viewing it on the report because you can't see what parent task it rolls up into. Can you build the report in such a way that you can see the indents that are visible on the actual Tasks page of the project?

I added a new user yesterday through Workfront but he keeps getting a "You don't have access to Workfront." error message. I did everything the exact same way that I've done previously, not sure why this isn't working. Any ideas?

Greetings - Is there a way to add additional custom columns to the choices shown under View on the My Projects widget of the home page? My users are interested in bringing in a Custom Comments field to their landing page.  Thank you.
