Hello! I have a supervisor in our organization who oversees several individuals. She would like to be able to view when her direct reports have time off scheduled. I showed her where users enter time off in their own calendars, but she would like to see all of their time off in one single calendar. Does this already exist in Workfront? Or alternately, can you use a Calendar report to build something like this? Does anyone have experience with a similar request? Thank you, Tina Plotner Project Coordinator Mountain West Farm Bureau

Do you know where your organization falls in terms of resource management maturity? Or what needs to happen in order to take full advantage of Workfront’s resource management tools?    To wrap up the resource management blog series, this week will focus on understanding where your team is today and will provide a list of best next actions to move towards resource management optimization.      4 STAGES OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT MATURITY Being great at resource management does not happen overnight. In addition to learning the tools, effective resource management also requires changes to team work processes, people’s behavior, and even organizational culture. In order to take the suggested crawl, walk, run approach, it is useful to understand the various stages that can be associated with Resource Management Maturity:   Ad Hoc (Accidental) - Work managers have very little information around the existing workload of their resources. Assignments are

We have a corporate schedule set up that all of our projects follow. I'm running a Days Late project but it counts the non-working days. Is there a way to have it calculate based on a set schedule? At a minimum, to exclude weekends? I've been searching for a while and not finding anything. Thanks!

Hi, we are trying to start using Workfront Proof in our book production process. We relied on the permissions set when sharing a proof to block unauthorized users from seeing them. Unfortunately, those permissions don't seem to work. We anticipate that design and editors will use it initially as they work on the initial passes. Once the layouts are done, at whatever version (let's say version 8), we will add the production editor. The production editor then will share that specific version with a proofreader (or copy editor). In theory, both the production editor and the proofreader will only have access to version 8. They will not be able to see the previous version. We can confirm that once they click on the Go to Proof button from the email they got, they indeed only see version 8. BUT, the problem is that there is a way for them to see the previous versions. When they are in the proof they can click on the upper right corner where it lists the project name (in the case of the produ

I just started with a company that already has templates in place for what we do.  I am new to WF but learning quickly.  One of my main issues is the auto-populated dates on certain templates.  One example is when I convert using the template, it will have some dates 2 weeks in the past. I'm hoping to figure out a solution to this without recreating the template. Also, there are the initial PM tasks that I would like to always show as "today's" date...the date it was converted to a project and assigned. I'm still fairly new so I hope my terminology isn't too newbie.   Thanks James

Dear All,  do you know why the Work List filter on the Home page does not remember which filters I select when unticking I.e. completed etc.  When I do it until I am logged in that day it remembers, then the next day it keeps forgetting it.  Any advice ? or is this a known issue ?     BR, Dave

Hello WF community, reach out to hopefully get some feedback.Users in our instance would sometimes experience issues with their allocations messed up in Workload Balancer. As an example, they would input this initially: But when they come back later to WB they would found this: Anyone else is experiencing the same?  WF support was able to patch at least 2 things causing the problem in past couple of months, but this is still happening for users in our instance so I'm wondering if this is special about our instance or if this is broader problem.  Kindly please let me know  Best R   PS. I'm very well aware about 3 usual situations described in the documentation that would result in allocations redistribution. This is none of them.

I have been trying to add a PDF widget to a custom form and foloowed the instructions to use the Preview link of the Document in the url of the field. Yet, the url expires and when I try to view the PDF in the form in a live environment, it is showing an error message. Has anyone had any luck adding a PDF widget in their forms?

I have a user who is always a Reviewer & Approver that says they've been able to make comments in a proof before their stage has been activated.  I've always been under the impression that was impossible.    Does anyone know if you indeed can make a comment in a proof prior to your stage being activated?

Is anyone having issues with not being able to change the start date and time while creating a new project? Or creating the project and then trying to edit the start date and time?

I am trying to write this report for myself and I am having issues getting my name to populate in the project owner filter. It populates in the old reporting but not in the new. Is there something I am doing wrong?

We have always been able to share documents with outside vendors just by selecting the document, sharing, making it public and adding the vendor's email address. That doesn't seem to work anymore. Anybody know why?

When I try and book a half day off (9.00-12.00, 'all day' box not-ticked), it shows up as a full day in the Workload Balancer, so nobody can schedule any time for me on that day. Hoew can this be resolved?

Is there a way to prevent a task from being deleted when a document lives on that task? We have had several instances lately where the user deleted a task unaware that a document/proof lived on it and it allows them to delete the task along with the document. I tested it and it doesn't give any warning that there is a document attached nor does it ask if you want to delete the document along with the task. I was hoping deleting the task would at minimum move the document to the project level but it doesn't, it deletes it. Then when we go the the recycling bin to restore the document it is not listed under documents since it was the task that was actually deleted, so it takes some detective work to determine which task the document was on. (especially when a parent task was the one deleted) Has anyone found a way to handle this?

Hi there - I have copied a dashboard from another user, saved it, and applied existing View / Filter for this - however each time I leave that page and come back it is using the Report Default for both the View and the Filter - what could I be missing (this is to show projects by Program).

Scheduling has a feature that allows "Add Users"  What's the equivalent functionality when using Workload Balancer?

Is anyone getting duplicate notifications in Workfront? Any idea as to why?

Is there a way to report on documents that are linked via cloud providers rather than uploaded to the documents area of a project?
