Adobe Workfront General

Very soon, Workfront is releasing a feature where calendars have the option to ignore Actual Dates completely (YAY!!!) I'm curious, would people prefer the default to be No or Yes?

I would like to create a calculated field to convert the project duration field from days into weeks? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I created a calculated column to calculate the number of days between Planned Completion and Planned Start. Is there anyway to format the result in number of weeks as opposed to number of days. Michele Banks Christus Health

Hi, I have a request where they want a task collection column in a project report, but the filter is that a certain role is assigned. Now, there isn't a way to guaranteed that the role will be the Task Owner, so I was thinking I would try the assignmentsRolesMM:ID you can do in a task report. However, when I put {assignmentsRolesMM}.{ID}=51003a37000adbe5e63492b3c19a9ccf or {assignmentsRolesMM}.{ID}="51003a37000adbe5e63492b3c19a9ccf" in my IF statement, it doesn't work. Has anyone either 1) figured out how to use MM fields in a task collection, or 2) has come up with a way to filter on a task collection for any assignee (whether User or Role)? Thank you so much :)

We are working on a simple form for people to fill out issues: it's just a simple three-column view. I've been able to make the view available to all users, but am coming up against a wall making it the DEFAULT for everyone: that way, they don't have to scroll through the options. I've been through the documentation and played around in Setup, but nothing seems to be popping up. Am I barking up a tree that doesn't exist?

We currently use the "hour types" as a way to track time to our different products. This helps us understand how much time the team is spending on each product inside our software. Sometimes, we are told by our product team to use a "workaround" to complete a task while they work on enhancing the feature or if they are fixing a functionality. We would like to track the time it takes to complete a task using the "workaround" to show our product team that the "temporary fix" is very time consuming and not sustainable. We initially thought adding an hour type "workaround" would be helpful but as we thought it through, it would be hard for our management to see what should be "billable" to the customer as they customer should not have their service hours tracked against "workarounds" that our teams need to do. For example: If it takes our team 3 hours to complete a task due to workaround, we don't want all 3 hours

Hi Everyone, I am looking for someone who is hopefully using this process who would be willing to share their setup/process. Our professional services department is looking to have 1 location where we can have a set of fields that our team needs in order to begin the services. Ideally, we would like to share this list with the customer so that they have a "portal" to upload the missing documents into. I know that you can add customers as "External" users and request documents from them but ideally we would love to have this "portal" that clearly lays outs all needed materials for a campaign to launch. The client can have access and upload as they have materials ready, and then once ALL materials are in, our internal team would get a notification or task that the campaign has all materials in and is ready to build. I uploaded a screenshot to get an idea of what we are trying to do. Our teams are already using workfront heavily, so we would love to see if any other teams/companies are

Does anybody else have trouble with video proofs? Worfkfront blames our local wifi, our IT blames Workfront. We all have this problem whether we are in the office or at home and can watch youtube or Vimeo files without any issue, but when the video is in Proof, it never plays all the way through. Any insight into this?

Long time listener, first time caller. I'm trying to help a department in my company with a custom form that is supplemental to their main request form. This secondary form uses a series of calculated fields to break down the quantities of marketing materials needing to be ordered for our 100+ retail locations, both individually and in groups, for each new request that comes in. That part I was able to figure out, but now they also have an additional criteria which is to break down the order by versions. For example, if a poster is needed for every store but five of those stores need an additional disclaimer added to them, it would be taken in as one request with two versions. The way I have the custom form laid out now each store has two single line text fields, one where the requestor will enter the quantity the store will receive and the other to enter the version number they will receive. What I'm needing is a calculated field or fields that isolates out all the stores rece

My understanding is that Google mail does not do any whitelisting of any kind and the expectation from Google is that the sender has SPF, DKIM and DMARC enabled for their domain.

We have a field called Packaging Project Type and there are 4 options. 3 of the 4 options fall to a one main option. Sometimes we want to report out on the larger options and sometimes we want to report on the sub options. My thought was to have a calculated field that would see the 3 sub options and label them Non-New and the 4th option New would be labeled as New. And then we could report on that calc field as a grouping. ExamplePackaging Project TypeNewNon-NewCORRECTIONSDMODPROMO IF({Packaging Project Type}="CORRECTIONS",Non-New,IF({Packaging Project Type}="DMOD",Non-New,IF({Packaging Project Type}="PROMO",Non-New,IF({Packaging Project Type}="NEW",NEW))))

I would like to build a project and have "sub projects" that link to the "parent project". Has anyone done this?

I have been trying to create a report that mimics the data in the view (Resource Planner). I want for each individual in a team – Available hours, Planned hours, Different between Planned and Available, Percent of Planned hours out of available hours. The biggest issue I have is finding available hours. I would like to do this on a monthly basis. Any help is appreciated. Hello All,Just digging into some NWE stuff and noticed that my links to specific tabs no longer works. I set them up based on this article: https://one.workfront.com/s/article/Linking-Tabs-from-Lists-and-Reports-1370315261?language=en_USThe URL comes up correct, but it doesn't go to the specific dashboard, just the general landing page for the object. Is this no longer a possibility? Thanks!

Hi WF Community, Does anyone know if I can do the following filter on a task report? Task planned completion date = $$TODAY+30d I'd like to filter tasks that have a planned completion date within the next 30 days. I'd like to avoid a static filter that uses the 'between' operator, as I would have to update that filter everyday in order for it to capture the next 30 days. My above filter doesn't seem to capture any results (aka not working). Thoughts? Thanks.Nick

Just trying to create several iterations of the same report with different groupings for executives. I'm trying to add a grouping to an issue report that groups everything together by Owner of the Resolve Project. Though I can put this as output in a column in a report, I can't group the report by it. Why not? Thanks!Dan

Hi everyone - I'm excited to announce another calendar enhancement now available in Preview. This new feature is planned to remain in Preview for two weeks before it releases to Production! You will now have more control over how objects display in Calendar Reports by opting to ignore actual dates even when they're available. Previously, the calendar would automatically use Actual dates once they were available. Check out the full details and demo video here: https://one.workfront.com/s/article/20-3-release-overview-760883140?language=en_US.

I am trying to understand how Workfront can assist us in identifying projects that are in need of resources in the short term, without having the PM raise their hand. One way I was considering was monitoring the CPI on all projects. Currently CPI can compare actual hours v. planned, and can indicate if projects are indeed taking up more time than expected. However, our PMs tend to add planned hours or work as they get more information on tasks. Since this is part of our resource planning, I don't want to restrict they way they use planned hours and work. Questions or options:I considered looking at CPI of an approved baseline of the project. My question is does the CPI of the baseline compare the current project to the baseline, or is the CPI of the baseline just what it was at the time the baseline was created? If we look at the CPI of the active project, how do you use it to monitor projects if the PMs can adjust the planned hours and planned dates? Thanks!

Hoping to be able to get Columns like this:Project Name: Jill's ProjectNext Item Due: "Send the Email to Prospects"Next Thing Due Date: 6/5/20 Thanks!

Is anyone else having an issue today when trying to add a new version to a proof. We just get the blue progress bar forever and the info to fill out for the proof approval never populates. It's happening with all of our users.

We have a creative brief pdf that is required to be attached when submitting a new creative request. However, I don't see any way to attach a document to a custom form. We want it be part of the intake form so the user doesn't have to go back and remember to upload it to the documents tab after they fill out the form. Is this possible?

Hi WF Community, Does anyone know if I can create a custom report, or maybe whether there already exists a standard report, whereby I can see revenue by project based on the following? Default billing rates (for roles) multiplied by actual hours logged against projects I'd like to see a sum revenue number, broken out by project, based on the above. We don't use billing records on projects and whatnot, but we do have default billing rates set up for all of our roles, so I just want to see these numbers x actual hours per project. Thanks.Nick
