I have a dashboard to show our workflow from intake to a project going active. I love the visual graphs, but WF does not allow project reports and issues (when request are first submitted) to be in the same report. I am looking for any work arounds that will be visual for this dashboard. Especially since the new requests (issues) is really only one bar in a bar graph. Having an issue report with one bar seems awkward. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
It is nice that you can set an approval workflow on tasks to prevent it from being completed without approval. It would be great if the same behavior were true when working with proofs. We should be able to set a task approval to be dependent on the Proof approval.
Do we have an idea of the availability of reporting on multiple objects? We have a need that an end user will send a request via a queue OR someone may also need to request as part of an existing project. More specifically, we have a compliance review queue for users to submit requests for compliance approval. However, sometimes a need is identified as part of an existing project that compliance review is needed. I'm not sure of the best approach: Can I create a report that pulls from both the same custom form fields that reside on a task or an issue? Or, can I somehow (within a standalone project) have a user submit a request on said project that will route to the same path as the other queue? I'm trying to solve for giving leadership an exportable format of ALL compliance reviews/approvals not two different reports. I'm also trying to solve for not having multiple separate processes - keeping all the work/review/approval thats part of an existing proj
Right now, reports are sent to ALL recipients on the list, even if the information is not applicable to them. I think the ability to create reports, and send only to users who have information in the report should receive a copy of the report, and the report should only contain the information relevant to them. For example, I want to deliver a report of "Projects Not Updated >30 Days" which would tell project managers that they need to go in and update or close their project. However, I currently have over 100 PMs in the system, and there may only be 20 projects that meet this condition. I would want the report to only be delivered to the PMs who have a late project, and the report should show only their projects, and only the ones that are late. This would significantly reduce the number of emails going to people who do not meet this criteria. This is different from having a user log in and run a report -- it will be delivered to them using the send feature.
Hi, our org is structured in a way that our India associates report to an India manager and a US manager. Is there a setting to allow actual hours entered to be visible to more than just the person a user reports to?
Hi All,I am facing the below error when i try to add User/people/email in the send to field underWF > Report > Send Report > Sent To > Error: You do not have sufficient access to search on the emailAddr field. Error: You do not have sufficient access to search on the emailAddr field. My Queries: 1. Is this feature only available for admins?2. Can a user with any plan with access to create edit manage Report, dashboard, filters use the Sent to feature? Awaiting for someones quick help here, Many Thanks, Jubin John
Has anyone set up a RACI within Workfront? If so, what approach did you take and how did you integrate it into your UI? Thanks,
Is it possible to create custom views and filters in the Requests section? I know I can create a custom report and create views, filters, groups there but I would like to be able to add the view and filter to the request object in the same way I do for other objects (portfolios, programs, projects, users etc) Specifically, I want to create a filter so that users only see requests that belong to the users HOME GROUP but I don't see a way to do that without creating a report.
Jumping off of this post - does anyone know a way to view the Learning Paths without having and Experience League login? We like to share the learning paths with new users and I am afraid that if there is any sort of barrier teammates won't review the training. Has anyone been able to find how to or is it possible to make these links 'public' since most of our users won't need an account? Even if they can sign into Workfront and then go to the learning paths that would be helpful - currently it just displays the Workfront Documentation Link Page when you click on Help in Workfront. Links for reference: Workfront for Collaborators - Learn how to use a Review or Request license to easily request, review, and collaborate on tasks, documents, and proofs in the new Workfront experience Workfront for Workers - For individuals who receive work or requests and collaborate with teams on projects and documents Workfront for Planners - Start your W
Is it possible to add or remove names on multiple proofs at once? I currently must go one at a time through each proof to remove or add approvers, which takes a significant amount of time. There must be an efficient way of editing multiple proofs at once
The Support page used to have the phone number for Workfront support. I noticed about a month ago that it's no longer there. Some issues are easier to explain with screenshots on the contact form. Others are easier to explain over the phone. Now, whenever I have to call Workfront support, I have to find an old email to get the phone number because it isn't displayed on the Support page anymore. Can it please be added back?
It would be very helpful and time-saving if the sharing rules could be optionally copied when copying a report.
A client requester is pushing to got this implementation because they usually work with the Team on this tab, checking the campaigns and tasks assigned to each Team. She would like to know If WorkFront could be able to share in an excel the workload of each person so that the whole Team knows what they have to work. Please guys can support this request, so we can export the Resource Management in a more efficient way. 🙌
I'd like to see Workfront auto refresh the page periodically so we see updates, notifications, calculations, requests, issues, etc. automatically without having to refresh the page manually.
It would be great if when a user receives a notification or a project is updated that the web page will refresh automatically to show this change. Having to continually 'refresh' the web page throughout the day is a very manual task and seems to defeat the purpose of a 'notification'. I have been looking over a project as a document or task is updated, and because I navigate away with out refreshing, I may not receive this information until much later. It creates a FOMO environment, which we all need less of in our daily lives. The feature would need to suspend itself whenever a 'creative' action is being taken, for example; making a new project or request, adding comments, etc. I know e-mail updates are available, but for those of us who would like to save our inbox, Workfront automatically updating would be great.
Description - Requested By is the Entered By Name, the person who submits the request may not be the person that is making the request. This happens often when a project manager or admin gets emailed a request and submits on the requesters' behalf. Why is this feature important to you - The Primary Contact is the most relevant person aside from the assignments and necessary for communication. Having this information in the header will save 2 - 3 clicks on every issue and lessen confusion for users. How would you like the feature to work - The feature would work exactly as the "Requested By" header option Current Behaviour - Showing Requested By and reminding teams that if they see someone from the internal team or a Workfront admin they should navigate to overview to identify the Primary Contact
Description - A shared calendar for projects in flight, upcoming, etc. Why is this feature important to you - Rather than having several different calendars between marketing teams, it would be helpful to have one place for project management/ prioritizations/ launches etc. This is such a critical tool and needs to be easy to use and customizable. How would you like the feature to work - Shared Calendar - System Admin to control accessibility, likely have a way to prevent users from deleting anything but ability to add events, link to active projects. Ability to sync with outlook for time off. Ability for users to see day/ week / month/ yearly view. Current Behaviour - limited communication between marketing teams & users, several calendars in use, excel sheets, programs, etc., and none of these methods communicate. This creates confusion and occasionally duplication of work.
We would like to be able to set that as a default for all updates.
It would be great if the user could select the date format they want to see in ALL places a date is shown. Or at least consistency with how the date is displayed (see screenshot below of the document summary tab). Even on the Updates page, you'll hover or scroll over a date and it will change from an actual date to "X days (or hours) ago." When you're looking through the updates trying to compare dates, this is very frustrating.Ideally, this would be combined with this idea and allow the user to choose their preferred date format on their profile: https://one.workfront.com/s/idea/0870z000000PSHTAA4/detail
We work strictly from pre-built templates, with job roles assigned to tasks. Once the request is converted to a project, the job roles get staffed. There are times when that step is accidentally missed so the project sits and isn't on anyone's active task list. How can I easily see if a project didn't get staffed and is just sitting there with job roles and not people? I've spent about 2 hours playing around with several reports and I just cannot figure it out. Thanks!
I noticed today that the updates I received in my weekly Experience League Community Digest was from July and before. I looked back at last weeks and it didn't seem to be current information either? Is anyone else experiencing this?
Every week we review all the open requests as a group and I show a report on my screen for us to look at. My problem is I can't organize them in a way that makes sense. When I do it by Queue Topic it lists all the sub-topics separately and they aren't all together and they don't alphabetize properly either - so I can't click on Name and have them come up in that order if I named them in a way that would work. Same for by Category - it is too granular as most topics have their own form. Ideally what I want is for the main Queue Topic to be the organizing factor. For example we have this structure, and I'd like to group all the Website Requests together. In this example each of the sub-topics has a different form (category). How would you handle this? Website Requests - New landing page requests - Edits to existing pages - Edits that need copywriting
Add a secondary name field for nickname. We have lots of users who officially go by a name like "Michael" (so that's how they're entered into the system) but who casually go by "Mike." Can we have the ability to add both name options to enhance searchability?
I understand the improvements with viewing predecessor information with 22.4, however I'd really appreciate an improvement to HOW cross-project predecessors are created. My org would 100% use these more if they were easier for users to create. Just like the enhancements with creating calculated custom form fields that help you build calculations, I'd really love something like this for creating cross-project predecessors. Please vote!
How can I change the title of a workfront ticket?
