I use Premiere Pro and After Effects and I use color labeling for layer to help organize content. I thought it would be nice to have a similar option for the main WF project list screen. Be cool if I could add colors to listed projects for organization. Outlook as the option too. Thanks!
Similar to the new "Undo" pop-up message, can we add a warning pop-up when you are about to send an update without notifying anyone? This would tremendously help because despite constant reminders, people share updates without tagging people, creating many missed communications.
Description - Once a project, task or issue has entered into an approval flow, the approval flow cannot be edited. You cannot add or remove an approver as needed. It would be nice to be able to at the minimum, add an approver to a stage. This would allow an existing approver to say, I really want this person to review and approve as well. Why is this feature important to you - Allows flexibility with approvers and add or reassign as needed, without starting the approval process over again. How would you like the feature to work - Perhaps it can be limited to those users that are on the approval flow already. If they feel they want another user to review and approve the project, task, issue, they can add that in the approval section. It would be nice if an admin or group admin can have rights to edit an approval flow while in flight. Current Behavior - Once an approval flow is in flight, it cannot be edited without stopping the complet
Hi Everyone, One of our designers and PMs are looking to speak with some customers who use Fusion about the Full-Text Search capabilities. They'd like to discuss the improvements needed in this area, as well as some potential new features. If you're interested, please sign up for a 30-minute session here: https://calendly.com/wf-product-research/fusion-full-text-search Thanks, everyone! Best, Dani
Measurements need to be exact. Our print production teams need to use decimals.
Hi WF Community, I have a task report that displays custom field data in it. Custom Field A is on a project custom form.Custom Field B is on a task custom form. For some reason, when trying to inline edit these fields on a the report, it only allows me to inline edit Custom Field B, but not Custom Field A. I changed Custom Field A to a text mode column on the report and added this expression - makeFieldEditable=true - per this resource. However, that still didn't open the field up for inline editing. Anyone know why this is? Is it because I'm using a task report but trying to edit a project field? Thanks.Nick
We need the ability to exclude custom forms when attaching a template to an existing project. Currently, when you attach a template to an existing project, it forces you to include all custom forms associated with that template. This means filling out the required fields just to attach the tasks you need. In some cases, the current behavior has also caused us to go over the limit of the number of custom forms we can have on one project. Our PMs regularly need to attach new tasks when the project scope changes, or if work needs to be redone. Their current workaround is to create a fake project from the template they would like to use, then copy over the tasks from the fake project to the actual project. Copying tasks from similar active projects does not work and causes issues with inherited permissions/notifications. So, the only workaround they have now is very cumbersome.
Hi, Created a user based report to collect all the vacation days including date and numbers. Used below taxt code to collect all days in timeoff. displayname=Vacation Days in 2022 (Working Days Only)listdelimiter=<br>listmethod=nested(reservedTimes).liststextmode=truetype=iteratevalueexpression=IF({endDate}>$$TODAYey,"",IF({endDate}>$$TODAYby,SUM(ROUND(WEEKDAYDIFF({startDate},{endDate})),0),""))valueformat=HTML Appreciate your suggestion in this regard. Best regards, Kundan.
It would be very helpful if we had the option for Proof Deadlines to automatically adjust based on PTO submitted by an approver.
Change is inevitable, but rarely easy. Any change – personal or professional – can lead to feelings of stress, excitement, anxiety, and more. We can’t help it! It’s how our brains are wired. BUT... it is possible to become comfortable with change. In this on-demand webinar, originally broadcast on December 7, 2022, Leigh Burger (@leighburger), change management guru and Principal Customer Success Manager with Adobe Workfront, joined Julie Simon, Director, Marketing Project Portfolio Management, and Lexi McGraw, Project Portfolio Manager, from Penn State University. They are each uniquely passionate about creating positive and meaningful change, and together they covered:The anatomy of changeHow our brains perceive change (and WHY)Workfront communication ideasHow Penn State took a human and empathetic approach to change when implementing WorkfrontAnd more. You can view the recording here and a copy of the slides is attached. When proofs are routing through ProofHQ, those who have time off in their calendar and submit a delegation of their work should be able to do so for proofs as well. At my company the only approvals that are sent are those through the proofing process and when people are on vacation they would rather not have their inbox filled up and have their decisions for proofs be delegated to someone else.
I have a report grouped first by portfolio, then by program, then by a custom field 'sub program'. However, only one program in all these portfolios has sub programs. This means all my other programs have a sub program grouping called 'no value.' It drives my brand managers nuts and clutters the report. So, can I tell Workfront to only group by sub program if the no value grouping is empty? In other words, if 'no value' has any content it will not display. There's got to be a way to do this 😂
Being able to pull reports that indicate the stage due date instead of the proof end date. When there are multiple stages in a single proofing workflow, it is misleading to just get the end date instead of the stage date.
I'm hoping some of the Text Mode experts can assist here.I have a document version report that is pulling a Task level custom field into a column with some formatting. I ultimately need to write the Text Mode for this Task custom field to use as a custom prompt on this report, but I understand that the easiest way is to create the filter, then copy that as one-line into the custom prompt. Here is my column text mode:displayname=Proof Designationlinkedname=documentnamekey=view.relatedcolumnnamekeyargkey.0=documentnamekeyargkey.1=taskIDquerysort=document:task:DE:Proof Designationstyledef.case.0.comparison.icon=falsestyledef.case.0.comparison.leftmethod=document:task:DE:Proof Designationstyledef.case.0.comparison.lefttext=document:task:DE:Proof Designationstyledef.case.0.comparison.operator=instyledef.case.0.comparison.operatortype=stringstyledef.case.0.comparison.righttext=84.51 Internal KCS Internal Promo Execution Internalstyledef.case.0.comparison.trueproperty.0.name=bgcolorsty
Is anyone else experiencing difficulty navigating through Experience League? It's either incredibly slow or keeps refreshing and kicking me out. I had my company IT guys check everything to make sure it was all working correctly from my end, so I wanted to see if anyone else is having the same experience.
Hi WF Fusion Community, I'm looking for some guideance on how to utilize Fusion to accomplish the following revenue recognition requirement: Use automation to input an evenly distributed value within monthly-labelled fields We created a new custom form at the Program level that contains fields labeled as follows: Jan YR 1, Feb YR 1, Mar YR 1, etc. (all the way to Dec YR 3). That totals 36 fields (12 months over 3 years) Example: Total retainer revenue is $24,000 The retainer dates run from Sept 1/2022 to August 31/2023 (12 months) Have Fusion input $2,000 into each revenue recognition field for Sept YR 1 through Aug YR 2. Additionally, if you have a better idea for the 36 monthly fields, because really, in the example above, it would input values into a YR 2 field (Aug), but it's really only a 1 year retainer, feel free to advise 🙂I'm going to start working on brainstorming a solution, but feeling a little stuck with how to input values into each
Does anybody have the code to generate a "previous task completed" column on a project report? Thanks in advance for the help!
Description - Allow Global definition (or Group) of User Defined Roles Or Apply Roles at a Project Level. Should be able to use a Wildcard such as $$ROLE:Campaign Manager in assigning tasks to that role automatically and use in routing rules and approvals Why is this feature important to you - Makes assignment much simpler. Can then dynamically route issues and/or approvals to more roles or people, not be tied to "Project Owner" etc. How would you like the feature to work - Allow for setup of User Defined Roles to apply on Objects and for each project etc. to have a resource assignable (with an alternate). Current Behaviour - Roles can be added to tasks.
Description - Allow use of defined wildcard users in the routing for Issues similar to Approvals Why is this feature important to you - Do not want to make the routing User Specific How would you like the feature to work - Same as on Approvals Current Behaviour - Need to use a role or a person's name
Default the values for a custom form in the Request Queue / Queue Topic Allow the form to be displayed when building Queue Topics so that you can then make selections Cannot currently default different values for any field, except in Project Template
Hello Everyone! Wondering if anyone has encountered this issue. I have a basic DIV calculation on a form feeding a capacity report that should provide a percent of the resources "used". The percentages on the report do not seem to be accurate. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong. Here is the text formatted as a number: DIV({actualWorkRequired},18432) The calculation of 42.25 hours / 18432 is amounting to .14% It should be amounting to .23% The goal is to have a Portfolio-level percent of the resources used for all projects within it. Thank you! Kat
How do I text mode filter a TASK report to show only the PROGRAMS that the user owns (Program Owner ID)? As well as having these 2 filters: Project >> Status Equates With >> Equal Planning and Assignment Users >> Role ID >> Equal "one of the role names"
Hi everybody, I'm looking for success stories about using Workfront Boards. I see that Workfront is putting a lot of effort into the further development and use of Boards, but I don't really understand the added value compared to the existing design of Projects and the Agile View. I am curious about how this functionality is being used successfully in other companies. I am also curious how you ensure that projects are still created with a template, that tasks are assigned to people and teams, and that creating a Board does not secretly replace this because this would mean that the overview of projects would no longer be complete. Hopefully, you will take the time to share your stories about this.
Hi Team Is there a way we can do this in a quicker way? To hide tasks To pin tasks or projects Pinned projects go to the top Remember the tasks you collapse Remove tasks yourselves Add Tasks yourselves To squeeze the columns
