Interested in knowing how Workfront enterprise pros approach the traditional SDLC phases, thinking of the basic DEV-QA/TESTING-STAGE-PROD steps. How do newly developed features get QA'd outside of a dynamic Dev environment? Ie. move to QA where data & features are consistent and not under DEV to support use case testing. Is there a stage environment concept in Workfront to support the orderly transistion to production on a work schedule?
I know if it's drawn from an issue on a project, you can, by running an issue report. But if I create a card directly on a Board and it's not tied to a project, task or issue; how can I include that in a report? It's nowhere to be found in the API. I've always said "Boards is a great way to circumvent using Workfront… while in Workfront." and this is a good example of that. I like to put all of our admin projects in Boards because usually it's only 3 to 8 tasks, not enough to have to create a project. Instead, I create a tag for each admin project so they organise in Boards. However, I have not found a way to report on our accomplishments after thy're completed.
Looking to see if anyone has any tips or best practices on assigning tasks here in the US to a team member in India. Do I just need to make the task due date on my end show as a day before the actual due date for it to show correctly on the user's task schedule in India?
Hello! I am trying to create a report and having an issue on how to acheive it. I am needing to have two tasks with their due dates on the same line so I can easily pull a comparision report. So the columns would be: Project Name, Project Owner, Task Name 1, Due Date of Task Name 1, Task Name 2, Due Date of Task Name 2, Cacluation of due date differences Thanks, Brandi
Hi community I try to get a certain scenario where, if one option in a dropdown list is selected an automated email or other notification is triggered so that a person is notified if this option is selected.Anybody got an idea? :) thanks guys!
I'm trying to load 400+ projects via kick-start. After running the kick-start, I received the following error: Usually when I have a kick-start error, WF specifies the offending field. I tried the kick-start a second time and received the same error. After a few minutes, I decided to run a test kick-start (with only a few records) to make sure nothing was wrong with my spreadsheet. My Projects module suddenly refreshed, and I found that apparently both original kick-starts had actually completed--I had over 800 new records. I wanted to delete the new records and start fresh, and that took a longer-than-normal time (I ran a speed test--I'm getting over 400 Mbps both up and down, so that's not the problem). I was able to kick-start my test file without issue, but again the full file throws an error (it's been 10-15 minutes, and I still haven't seen the new records). I've run other kick-starts with a similar number of records, so I
Is it possible to move entire Program (projects, documents, custom forms) to a different portfolio. I'm no seeing a way.
I have several note reports that extract some hashtag statements out of the updates (notes) and I am trying to create a chart that shows how many items (notes) by project owner. So far I can group by project owner by text edit and in chart it appears as though it can sort by that but when it comes out its not really showing accurate on the chart. Images attached for ease of understanding. Any assistance in what I am doing wrong and/or if it's even possible would be much appreciated! 1.) you can see it groups, provides name of owner accurately, and count accurately. 2.) when the chart is displayed it combines them all 3.) it seems as though it would work? Grouping code: group.0.linkedname=project:ownergroup.0.namekey=view.relatedcolumngroup.0.namekeyargkey.0=project:ownergroup.0.namekeyargkey.1=project:owner:namegroup.0.valuefield=project:owner:namegroup.0.valueformat=string
I have a user that is unable to see a specific request form, despite the fact that they are listed in the inherited permissions assigned to the sharing of this form and after I manually added them into the share list. I even went so far as to add them to the respective team and group, just in case that was an issue. But it makes no difference. When I log in as that user, I cannot find the request form in the drop-down. I am at a loss as to what else can be done.
A dropdown menu that exists is too narrow to read the contents. How do I go about widening the dropdown menu to match the field width to allow the longer names to be legible on an MRF (issue) custom form?
I have been trying to upload proofs to Workfront Proof for hours and none of my proofs will upload. I tried reaching out to Adobe but their support team is useless. Does anyone know of any known issues with Workfront Proof?
Currently we can create filters both inside of reports and as part of the initial query with our custom fields, but for whatever reason, we cannot select our rich text fields to use. I am trying to run a report where it filters for when these fields are left blank and cannot in the typical, easy way. I think this feature just makes sense as part of how we build in Workfront.
Our Marketing Operations team is adding a new position - Marketing Operations Analyst II! This team oversees the administration of Workfront, Fusion, and Asset Essentials (implementing in Q2). Workfront was implemented about three years ago and I have been the sole administrator so we are bringing someone else on to share the responsibility. The company is based in Dayton, OH but will hire remote applicants. Marketing Operations Analyst II | | CareSource
I think I know the answer to this, but wanted to query the masses: I have a project report that we're trying to present as a pie chart with each wedge representing the project owner's home team. The pie shows the home team ID, but, of course, that means nothing to a human. So we updated the text mode to no avail. Then I went to basics and added a column, updated the text mode, and (here's what's telling to me) I can't select the column as a grouping. Is there a way to get the grouping to show the team name?
Is there a way to bulk edit Task Name in Workfront? I've grouped the project by task name and tried to bulk edit all tasks with the same name but it doesn't allow me to edit the name of the task - just description, status, etc.
We wish that boards could push AND pull information. If we edit a board or information on a board, we want that information to push over to the project overview. And of course, vice versa (if we edit something on the project, we want that reflected on the board, as it works today). Being able to push information straight from boards to the projects would make boards and their connected cards so much more powerful. It would truly replace Trello for those teams who are still hung up on that visual. Until then, my hopes of getting my video editing team to drop Trello are useless 😞
We have a current team in the system that is an agile team. However, a couple team members on this agile team are also leading other areas within our system. We don't want the ENTIRE agile team to get notified everytime we add something to our backlog or a task, however at this point the only option is to edit every user's notifications and uncheck the box that says 'notify me when work is assigned to a team i'm on'. This works for those 'workers' who don't own projects, but not for the planners who are a part of that agile team but also recieve other requests in the system. It would be great to be able to control notifications for CERTAIN teams that person is a part of. This way we can eliminate notifications a user recieves for ONE team, but not the other team that they are a part of.
Description - We would like to request all user are able to drag and drop screenshot's / documents into updates /comments Why is this feature important to you - make the tool more user friendly for all users and also make is easier and quicker resulting in time saving for the users How would you like the feature to work - usual drag and drop as in most of the tools now in days Current Behaviour - for certain users the users needs to use the wizard instead of drag and drop
I would like to be able to pull in Workfront cards at the project object level into the "Intake column" on a Workfront Board. Currently, you can only pull cards into that column by the "task" or "issue" level.
Hi, Is there an when it comes to editing user profile? A few of our colleagues are not able to configure their user profile mainly Notifications. The system will not load anything: However some other users can edit this part. I don't think this is an access level issue as I believe anyone with any access level can edit this part. In case you are wondering, this is the part we're trying to achieve: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/basics/use-notifications/activate-or-deactivate-your-own-event-notifications.html?lang=en Any kind of help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!
How external users can see all their proofs and the deadline in proofhq dashboard
Description - Ability to display labels instead of values from custom form fields. Why is this feature important to you - It would help with our reporting, How would you like the feature to work - when adding custom form fields to columns in reporting we want the ability to display the labels instead of the values. Current Behavior - Currently the only way to display this is to manually add conversion logic for each individual field, which just isn't feasible when we have dozens of fields.
Description - When configuring an error handler in Fusion, I would like an option to have it RETRY the same module again. This is particularly true for Connection errors. Sometimes modules timeout in a search so I would like to have an error handler that just tries it again. I would like to be able to configure the number of times it will retry before it actually becomes an error. An alternate option would be to just have Fusion do this inherently. If the error type is a connection error, retry up to 3 times. That way I wouldn't even have to add the extra error handler modules. Why is this feature important to you - I'm frustrated with having to add multiple extra modules to my scenarios because the error handler won't just tell the module to try again. How would you like the feature to work - see above. Current Behavior - there is no retry option.
Description - Typeahead fields are essential for maintaining data relationships. Enable the current filtering functionality to also respect dynamic filters (like other parts of Workfront). Why is this feature important to you - Currently a typeahead field can only filter to a hard coded filter (ex: portfolioID=12345). The challenge with typeahead fields is that they can have tons of possible options - many of which may not be relevant to a given scenario. How would you like the feature to work - Enable dynamic filters (ex: portfolioID=DE:Custom Field) This would allow us to dynamically filter the results based on an attribute on the project - leading to cleaner data and easier experience for end users. Current Behavior - It returns erroneous results.
Would like the ability to change the view and add/remove columns in the Submitted Requests page.
