I am working on a report that shows a team's future tasks (wildcard filter on home team, Can Start=N) and have been able to hack together columns to show the previous task and its planned completion date. I can even get the assignment to show up if it's an individual. But I can't make anything show up if it's a team assignment. I went into the API developer site and believe this is what I need, but nothing is displaying. The flags (shown below) suggest a limitation, but I want to confirm with the group. Again, I want to show the predecessor owner whether it's a team or an individual. Thanks in advance! Current code that shows individuals, I tried inserting "assignmentsListString" where the itals are: displayname=Predecessor Owner listdelimiter=<br> listmethod=nested(predecessors).lists textmode=true type=iterate valueexpression={predecessor}.{assignedTo} valueformat=HTML
Are you able to include/view actual hours in the workload balancer? If yes, can someone please tell me how? Thanks,Brenda
Hi all, hoping someone can help with this query / that it's possible. We use the 'Updates' channel to communicate with requestors and chase further information if needed, and of course 'Documents' to source content and related documents. We're having some trouble with both Workers and Requestors getting confused between a request and a project after the request has been converted into a project - in part because requestors cannot see the resolve project without manually editing sharing permissions. Is there a way to automate the sharing of resolve projects (converted from a request) with it's requestor, so they're able to upload documents and add updates to the project - as opposed to switching between the two to find information or manually changing sharing settings? I have done some testing with access levels for users and for templates and can't seem to find a way to do this so far. Thanks in advance!
Description - Global change to the project owner field for *all* projects from one project owner to another project owner while someone is out of the office (or when someone has permanently left the team, etc.) with the ability to switch ownership of all projects to another project owner as needed (when someone returns from vacation or when a new employee transitions into a role, for example). Why is this feature important to you - Right now the workaround POs are using is to copy other POs on all tickets to give them visibility into the work which means out of control emails that are not helpful or useful 95% of the time. How would you like the feature to work - I'd like project owners to be able to flip a switch to assign projects they own to another project owner and we'd like the ability to turn it off when we don't need to assign projects to others. Any project owner should have the ability to do this for any other PO to account for someone leaving the t
A user with a Plan license should be able to have past projects show up in search results. Currently a user with a Plan license only receives projects that have been shared with them in their search results. When setting up a new project, a user with a Plan license needs to have access to all past projects to be able to reference those for new project setup and etc. All past projects should be available to a user with a Plan license and should show in search results for a user with a Plan license. Even if the user with a Plan license is not able to access the old projects, they should still show up in the search results so the user can then request access.
My team and I receive email notifications regularly. A digestible email with Upcoming Due Tasks. I generally take a quick look to make sure I'm on the right track with my projects, however, my eye goes to the most irrelevant information first. In bold, black letters I see the date that the task was created, entered by and the priority, followed by who it's assigned to and the name of the Project. I believe this information could be better organized and designed. I would recommend beginning with the project name and due date in bold black type. Everything could be in a lighter coloured below. Bottom line, the most relevant information for myself are the project name and due date. If I could scan for these two things quickly the email would be most helpful. Thanks!
Out of office replies in updates:Would be amazing if this could be integrated with Microsoft Office and pull directly from our out of office there?
Currently, we are able to create email templates to customize Reminder Notifications, but this same customization isn't available for Event Notifications. We would like to customize our notification emails, but most of our users work off of Event Notifications exclusively, so being able to customize Reminder Notifications is not helpful. Ideally, we would be able to customize both the subject line and the email content with both out-of-the-box Workfront fields and custom fields. Many of our stakeholder request this because they need additional/immediate context for the task they have been assigned to, and they do not find the default email content helpful.
Good Day WF Community! I'm working on a report that will count the total number of hours spent on a task. My formula will be ({actualCompletionDate},{actualStartDate}) but I would like to exclude weekends hours from this count. How do we do that in text mode? Hi Folks, I had an interesting request come up today, so thought I'd share the punchline: the Project report filter below will return each Current Project with at least one Open Task assigned to the currently logged in User and Can Start and is Not Complete, ordered by Project Completion Date, ascending (i.e. oldest first). So! When Spring Cleaning fever hits, I invite you to create a Project report with this filter (sorted by Project Completion Date, ascending) pop it on a dashboard share the dashboard with your users, and challenge them to "work down" through any Golden Oldies until they've caught up with what really is Current Regards, Doug EXISTS:a:$$EXISTSMOD=EXISTS EXISTS:a:$$OBJCODE=TASK EXISTS:a:actualCompletionDate_Mod=isnull EXISTS:a:assignedToID=$$USER.ID EXISTS:a:assignedToID_Mod=eq EXISTS:a:canStart=true EXISTS:a:canStart_Mod=eq EXISTS:a:projectID=FIELD:ID status=CUR

Description - Why is this feature important to you - We are a global institution with using Workfront with users all over, and Projects are bound to specific regions and require specific Schedules to be set. We tap in to the Scheduling to enable some automated jobs through Fusion that uses the Schedule to identify Start/Completion dates. Currently when a Project is created by any team member, we are unable to mandate the selection of one of our available schedules. Given that this is an out-of-the-box predefined input, it would be great if we could customize our instance to define which of those fields are mandatory/optional. How would you like the feature to work - When a team member creates a new project, they are required to complete the Project Settings > Schedule input field (or any other field defined as required) before proceeding. Current Behaviour - There is no way to enforce the selection of a Schedule (or any other field out-of-the-box) through instance cus
We have a process in which teams will tag another team in the updates to escalate an issue. Is there a way for me to pull that information into a column or filter in a report? Basically looking for (Updates contain Team ABC) but I can't seem to find any option that allows for that information to be reported on. If we change the process and ask them to assign the team as part of the escalation process I could report on that team being assigned but I was hoping not to have to change the process. Any ideas? This is where I got to but full disclosure I am sick and not running on all cylinders. valueexpression=IF({opTask.updates}CONTAINS{Network Super User},"Escalated","")textmode=truevalueformat=htmldisplayname=Escalated
I have a proof approval report that shows all proofs still awaiting a decision. I want to add a column rule for proofs that had no deadline set but were created more than 15 days ago. Is there any way in text mode to use both of these criteria?
Is there a way to shorten a URL/Hyperlink shown in the description column of a view? Thanks!
Is there any way to have a custom form applied to every document uploaded to Proof with automatic approval stages? We're trying to have a form available to track some specific information for every invoice that is uploaded for approval vs. adding it as a manual step after the document is uploaded and converted to a proof.
A few teams using a Work license are unable to edit their notification settings. I've never seen this before. Any idea what would have caused this?
Description - Why is this feature important to you - Because currently, there is no way for an admin to manage these types of filters. Furthermore, no one, not even an admin can see other user's filters. How would you like the feature to work - Add a section in the Setup>Interface area for Balancer, Utilization, and Planner filters. Current Behaviour - There is no current behavior. Everyone's filters are completely siloed and unreachable.
I'm looking to take information from a very long custom form and pair it down according to what each team requires. For example, Web team will only need to see the web specs/details, Printing team will only need to see printing specs/details, Social team.... etc. This is all captured in one form for the sake of simplicity for the requestor but becomes too much to sort through when it comes to the individual teams to execute.I know I need to build a report, and then a dashboard to add to the project but I'm having trouble building the report to bring in the info I need. Has anyone done anything similar that would be willing to share their report settings or can anyone suggest the proper fields to add to pull specific data in from the custom form? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I am trying to pull a report that is showing us the difference (excluding weekends & holidays) from when a request is submitted (Request > Entry Date) to when one of our specific tasks within the Resolve Project is marked as complete (task name = Send to Requestor for Approval). Essentially we're trying to track the turn times from request submission to the delivery to the requestor - however we have additional tasks that follow our "Send to Requestor for Approval" task that we do not want to account for so the project's Actual Completion Date would not work for us, it will need to be that particular task. Any help is appreciated 🙂
I'm trying to generate a ticket with a particular cadence (monthly, quarterly, etc) based on an Excel spreadsheet I receive in Outlook. I can schedule the report/spreadsheet to be sent to my email at particular intervals but wondering how I could get that email to propagate an Issue in Workfront and appear on my team's Kanban board? Is this possible?
Hello, I'm trying to create a calculated field on a task level report adding the handoff date + the duration with the answer being the date and time of day. I cannot use projected completion date since it moves each day the task is not started. This is what I have so far, however, the calculation is not taking into account the duration if there's a decimal involved. We use decimals for duration - 1.5 days, .5 days. valueexpression=ADDWEEKDAYS({handoffDate},({durationMinutes}/450)) Note: 450 is the amount of minutes in a work week as we are on 7.5 hr days)textmode=truevalueformat=longAtDatedisplayname=Task Due Date
I have a Description text field that is used on a specific custom form that I want to edit and make a required field. I am the global admin, so I should have this right, but I am unable to find the means of doing this. Our company did work with a consultancy group to help with building out this form and streamlining some things, but that shouldn't matter. And when I look at other fields, I am unable to see a way to do much more than a basic edit of them. According to this link from last October, it should be as easy as going to Settings>Account Settings> then opening the Custom Fields tab. However, I am unable to find any settings or account settings options in my backend. In the screenshot provided, this is the extent of my options (I didn't expand the ones that could be, but Account Settings is not in any of them). Am I overlooking something obvious? Thank you for any help you can provide!
Description - Workfront currently doesn't support Hebrew. as it's a Right to Left language - the proof tools including scanning or reading the text are encoding the character incorrectly. Why is this feature important to you - we work with this language (IL) and this prevents us from using several proof tools. How would you like the feature to work - support Hebrew. Current Behaviour -The proof tools including scanning or reading the text are encoding the character incorrectly.
I'm looking for help for a filter that returns a list of projects in the same campaign as the existing project. For instance, if Project A is part of Campaign ABC, I want a report that will return a list of projects also in Campaign ABC such as Project B and Project C, etc. Ideally, I'll add this as a dashboard in the project itself so it can be easily viewed.
