Is anyone else experiencing a glitch in the Workload Balancer when you add planned hours? On our instance, when we add planned hours and save, the numbers will change and have decimal points. This has happened a few times in the past, but I’m not showing that this is a known issue.I submitted a ticket on Friday, tested yesterday and today and we still have this issue.
Does anyone know if it's possible to export custom prompt info (labels and conditions)?I have a lengthy custom prompt that I need to use in another report and was hoping to avoid copying/pasting all the values (the original is a task report, and the one I'm creating is a project report, so I can't simply make a copy of the report). Thanks!
Description - This feature request is related to interactive proofs where the URL of the proof requires authentication, and the proof is being viewed using the desktop proofing viewer Current Behaviour - Currently if we authenticate into the most recent version of the proof, and we wish to refer to a previous version of the proof, it will force us to authenticate into the previous version as well. If I try to skip the authentication process on the most recent version of the proof (because I already know I want to look at a previous version), the authentication process will error out on me. How would you like the feature to work - If both proof versions are going to the same URL, and I have already authenticated to view one, I want to be able to switch to a previous version and not have to authenticate again. This could be done if the proofing viewer would allow all versions to access the same cookie, or if desktop proofing viewer integrated with microsoft authentic

Is there a way in a task report to include a specific task and planned completion date? In my example I have a report for all Late task. For the Late task I can pull in the Next task, see below. But I’d also like to pull in our Delivery task name and planned completion date for the project. Any thoughts on how to get this to work? displayname=Next Tasklistdelimiter=listmethod=nested(successors).liststextmode=truetype=iteratevalueexpression=CONCAT({successor}.{plannedCompletionDate},' - ',{successor}.{name})valueformat=HTML
We have many recurring projects that we don't want to enter into Workfront and create manually every week. For example: Every Monday, project A is dueEvery Tue, Wed, Thu, project B is dueThe 1st Fri of the month, project C is due Instead of manually creating a request for each project, what is the best way to create the request once and have it set to recurring? Each project will be assigned to an individual member of our team.
Is it possible to mark a task as 100% complete once the deadline has passed in Fusion? If so, is there a recommendation you can provide on where to start to build this in Fusion? I tried the Auto Complete Task Tracking on the task but it will not mark as complete. We have an unassigned role that sits on these tasks, so I am not sure if this is causing the problem of not marking it as complete. We are not able to remove the unassigned role as we have reports pulling from these unassigned tasks. Thank you!
Description - Adding a page anchor to the Project's documents page so that when you upload a new version you do not lose your place on the page. Why is this feature important to you - There are projects that could have hundreds of documents. In those instances, it takes quite a bit of time for the document list to load when scrolling to find it. If the page could be anchored, this would save the user that time as they would not need to wait for the page to re-load the list of where they were at in the list. How would you like the feature to work - Add an anchor to the user's place on the page when a new document version is being uploaded via the Project Document's page.Current Behaviour - Currently, the page re-syncs (not necessarily completely refreshing) which brings you back up to the top of the documents list.
What I'm looking for is a way to reset the "Due On" field to auto-update based on the predecessor that's been assigned. Let's say you set up a project and set all the predecessors, but the date on several tasks are manually changed for any reason. Once you manually edit a "Due On" date, it won't auto-update no matter what predecessors are assigned anymore. Is there a way to reset it back to auto-updating? Screenshot with notes attached to help clarify what I'm looking for.
Hello, Is anyone willing to share some examples of prompts they have used in ChatGPT-4 or other AI apps to get the AI to understand how Workfront works to provide useful guidance and text mode code? This is what I have used so far, but it almost never provides me with the correct guidance. I have tried using the Voxscript plugin and the new Bing web search capabilities without much luck. Using Voxscript, completely explore every link and chunk: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/home.html?lang=en Once you have learned everything from these pages, act as a Workfront expert to answer any questions I may have. Refer back to the above URL using Voxscript if you need to look for additional resources. Use the text mode code below as an example to learn from when providing code:displayname=Last Updateimage.case.0.comparison.icon=trueimage.case.0.comparison.leftmethod=lastNote:entryDateimage.case.0.comparison.lefttext=lastNote:entryDateimage.case.0
Let me see if I can word this properly. I think the answer is "no" but I am often surprised by capabilities in WF. If I have a group / team of external requestors who are accessing the same custom form that ties to a request que that has 4 topic groups: can I hide one of the topic groups so option is not seen by certain people. I have created a sep team for these out-layers but since they are accessing same form I am telling them to just ignore 3 options and choose the 4th I want to avoid setting up an additional Request que if possible. appreciate any insight....the routing takes place in request que itself and not form so??? I'm looking for ideas from the community on how to best retire queue topics without losing artifact data. We have queues with hundreds of topics that are constantly changing. In order to report on the demand by request type, we rely on the Queue Topic ID/Name field. The only way to deactivate a queue topic is to delete it. Doing so results in issues with a blank "Queue Topic ID". Since we rely on the Queue Topic Name/ID for reports, we don't want to lose the ability to report on this field. One idea I had was to move them within the queue into a "DO NOT USE-ARCHIVED QUEUE TOPICS" topic group, which is clunky but works.Another idea I have is to attach a custom form to all Issues that use the to-be-retired queue topic, allowing us to "tag" the issues with the queue topic details. This takes some work, and also makes reporting much more challenging. It sure would be nice if we could hide/show queue topics, similar to options in a drop menu in the custom
Not sure if this is bad syntax or not a possible filter? All I know is this throws an error. Expert advice needed! Is there a way to limit who a user can assign to a task/request? I have managers that will only ever assign their teammates to work items. When they begin typing in an assignee name, workfront recommends users alphabetically, pulling in names from all over the organization instead of limiting the list to just users within that managers group or team.
In our small WF setup our 3 PMs are our system admins for 3 distinct departments working within the instance. Because of this they have access to all users on all task assignment drop-downs/ type aheads. Understanding that other lower access level PMs are restricted by their group, it would still be beneficial to limit the options that a user sees when assigning a task. Suggestion to limit using inherited project permissions so that WF only shows/ suggests those users who have permission to view the project in the first place. This will avoid unnecessary mistakes in assignments as our instance continues to grow. It would be great if this were an optional feature.
I am working on updating an existing form and one of the things I am trying to do is remove a specific section and all the fields associated with that based on what option a user selects on a designated field. If I set the rules to have one selection to hide said section, everything works as intended. However, the moment I apply a second, or third, 'OR' rule for two other selections in the same field, the section that I want to hide remains viewable on the custom form. In the images included, if a user selects Residential in the Organization field and then either Bug/Error, New Build, or Site Update from the Asset Type field, I want the Resident Request Additional Info section and all fields to disappear. However, when I apply the rules to all three of these selections to say:*only display if Org: Residential is selected AND Asset Type: Bug/Error is not selectedOR Org: Residential is selected AND Asset Type: New Build is not selectedOR Org: Residential is selected A
Description - I would love to see an option to search all of the posts/replies from some users that are very active and helpful in the experience league instead of having to manually try to find helpful posts from them through their profile. For instance, if I could search for specific keywords or just "text mode" to see what examples they have provided in the past would be awesome. Adding a subscription every time they post or reply might also be helpful to stay up on their latest feedback. Why is this feature important to you - To find relevant answers from the experts quickly since the forum search doesn't always find me what I want. I like bookmarking user profiles when I see someone provides excellent examples and guidance. How would you like the feature to work - Add a search bar to user profiles. Add a subscribe option to users. Current Behaviour - I didn't see any easy way to do either thing, but please let me know if I am just m
Hi all, Bit of an odd one here. One of my users received a load of timesheet approval notifications (as per image below) for someone, but I can't see why. They aren't linked by Direct Reporting.A couple of other things that may be relevant... Timesheets approvers are automatically set to be the owners Line ManagerIn this case, the timesheet owner's Line Manger's account is deactivatedThe person who received the notifications Access is set to be an administrator of Timesheets (as she's in Finance). Any suggestions where to go to understand this would be appreciated.ThanksMatt
Hi all, We regularly need to amend a single task that is part of a reoccurring task. e.g., change the date or duration for just that occurrence, leaving the remaining tasks as they were. But we find this isn't a painless process. making the change often give us unpredictable results that we have to fudge to tidy up again. Based on the fact that our project timings are set up using Start Date, is there a simple way to make these changes. I've tried different constraints, but can't see one that really helps. ThanksMatt
How to a custom field mandatory on task status change ?
What is the cause of some users not having edit access to projects? One user is 'managing' all of this who is currently on leave and the other team aren't able to do it but everyone has the same access level as the person who 'manages' this normally. Screenshot attached
Please get rid of that user information box that pops up whenever the cursor/mouse comes near a username. It constantly pops up when NOT needed, and takes multiple clicks to get rid of. Once or twice is annoying, multiple times a day and I'm ready to suggest getting rid of Workfront. At the very least, please provide a way to turn this feature annoyance off.
Hello all, hoping someone can help me please. The workers in my organisation are receiving late proof email notifications, after a job has been closed and completed. A decision has been made on the proof (approved) and all tasks have been 100%-ed. Is there a way to stop this? It's happened multiple times over the last few months. Thanks in advance for any/all advice!
Hey all, We're running into a communication snag. There seems to be no way to send out messages to every Workfront user WITH Workfront. This would be particularly helpful when there are system errors that affect everyone. Any ideas that don't involve a manual email?
Good Morning - I think I know the answer, but can someone please confirm. We are in process of migrating assets from WF to Aprimo DAM and I just want to be certain before we test that I have correct naming conventions.in WF I need to have the "Name" of field match:Label: Asset TypeName: AssetTypeand then the "Values" needs to match in options list? so:Option 1: Document / TextOption 1 Value: DocumentTextI hope this makes sense to somebody out there....I have never been through this process - and as an aside I am having to create a custom form with new fields to map and BULK EDIT and attach to thousands of projects...taking any best practice advice I can get but I'm guessing meta data will be much more robust and we take what we can get for migration. (initial push is through fusion) Thanks for reading 😃
