We have a situation where we have created a new view in Projects’ documents to show (100s of) documents and proofs on projects. However, the ‘version’ column always shows documents at v1 but when a proof is created and is techinically a v1 proof, it shows v2 in the column and is very misleading.I have looked at many ways to work around this using text mode but everythings draws up a blank column.Has anyone else come across this and found a solution? Thanks!
As above .. workfront has taken 20 mins to create a proof and still hasn’t done it. How do you cancel the job and start again?
Hi! We are exploring exporting Workfront data through Snowflake and into PowerBI. It pains me what we have to do this. I would love there to be more functionality with Workfront reporting, especially to show trends over years. I find PowerBI not overly intuitive either. Will more reporting functionality exist within Workfront? How else are people creatively showing data?
Description - Many of our users are expressing pain points when it comes to finding specific information related to communications made on a project. Why is this feature important to you - Having transitioned from Outlook and Teams for project communication, users are used to having the ability to track down keywords and important info with the use of the search capabilities. How would you like the feature to work - Add a search button and field on the Updates Page in each of the elements of Workfront, ie. Projects, Task, Issues, etc. This search function would be able to show the updates that contain the Searched information. Current Behaviour - Currently, in Workfront, users are having to use valuable working time to scroll through sometimes lengthy Update feeds to try to find the necessary info, which is made more difficult by the auto-collapsing functionality of threads. Thanks for the consideration!
Description: Increase the size of the Descriptive Text Field while typing in it in a report. Please make this field taller while editing. No matter how many lines of text, the edit function in a Report view makes it ~7 lines of text for the height currently. Why is this feature important to you? Our MPMO uses text fields in reports daily to document key project updates, tasks and hot topics. As we continue to move more and more into Workfront, we will continue to use Descriptive Text Fields. The current size of the text field makes users have to scroll a lot to get to their desired area of the text field which causes a clunky experience for users. How would you like this feature to Work? The request is to increase the number of lines of displayed text while typing. It would be great to have the text function realize what size the cell is already and adapt to display that many lines. For example, if the field has 20 lines, then display the 20 lines of text without shrinking the field for
Has anyone tried to create a dashboard that displays project level information that can then be added to the project itself in the sidebar? I have some designers asking for a more visual way to represent project data that would be accessible at a glance on their actual project.Thinking if it IS possible, it could be done with wildcards, but struggling to figure out how to reference the data on the project the dashboard is actually attached to.If this is not possible, what are some creative ways you all have tackled this?
I am having an issue where I have users assigned to tasks however their hours are showing zero. This changed when I updated the task assignments to be their job role names instead of their actual user name because I am working with 300+ projects and want to resource level. Any insight into why their hours might be showing zero if they're assigned to a task with hours? Also note that each of the project tasks are set to start and end during work hours.
We use this as our screen to send proofs to team members and discovered this messages box, which is great because we always want to send a note with the proof. We get the message with our email proof, which is great! It took us like 5 clicks to find the message back in the document in Workfront…. The message is not showing in the project or document updates. This would be a huge help for my team to have those messages flow into the updates of the document and project. It feels like if the updates is a comprehensive stream of the project, not having the proof message flow there is a miss. Thank you!
Take information from Workfront planning to pull into WKFT core reports
Hi everyone,We’re a few months live with Workfront and the team I have moved into are very much “use it because we have to” users. The main obstacle (like many I am reading) is the amount of clicks that activation teams feel they have to do on top of their very manual work - they don’t see a benefit to updating the details accurately, so they basically close everything as complete after they've done the work (I know 😥). We’re working on the “create and show the benefits” part, but I’m wondering, how does everyone use planned vs actual dates and how much importance do you put on this and marking the status accurately.Do you set a planned schedule once and leave it as is, but be firm on accurately marking tasks in progress/complete so you can use “actual” dates in reporting, or do you constantly update the planned schedule to be accurate and rely on that solely, or something else?I should note, we don’t have PMO’s for most of our teams. We have a version of “Traffic leads” that help wit
I have a use case where I need to be able to filter on a report to pull in Monday through Sunday for the next week into the following week. For example, dates would be 4/6 - 4/19. This report is ideally ran on Friday’s but could be run on a Thursday if there was a holiday. I have set up a filter against my date field to show $$TODAY+3d between $$TODAYe+16d which does work if the report is only run on a Friday. Is this possible to hard code or would I need to have the end user default to using a prompt to ensure accuracy. Thank you!
Currently if a user is deactivated on workfront environment, user will still show as having access in admin console This is causing issues from a consistency point of view so data is accurate in both ends If you report on WF you will see less users active than if you report in admin console This requires us to do some manual batch updates on a regular basis to keep both systems consistentThe ask is that admin console and workfront instances are fully in sync so: Deactivating a user in Workfront removes or deactivates them in Admin Console Removing a user in Admin Console deactivates them in Workfront
The Problem:Right now, settings for New Issue Fields (like Planned Completion Date or Priority) can only be set at the Project level. This means every issue/request in that project shows the exact same fields. If I want to show the "Planned Completion Date" for one type of request (Queue Topic) but hide it for another to keep the form clean, I can't. It’s "all or nothing," which creates unnecessary clutter for users. Proposed Solution:Allow admins to customize field visibility at the Queue Topic level.Individual Control: Let us choose which native fields appear for each specific Queue Topic.Cleaner Forms: Requesters only see fields relevant to their specific request.Flexibility: Keep the Project-level settings as a default, but allow a "Topic-level override" for better customization.
Please, please bring back the option to toggle off the ability to edit the assignee on a task for the Standard users access level!! This is an incredibly important feature for my team and an easy way that work will fall through the cracks, lose track of accountability, and cross functional alignment. There is also no current way that I am notified of changed user on a task. If I was notified, this would be a helpful way to monitor changes but alterations are happening unbeknownst to me and will quickly become a very large problem to audit. Please help!
It would be nice to have the functionality to tag all people on the proof in a comment by using “@everyone” so we don’t have to tag 8 different people each time. Using tagging a team doesn’t work the way our division is structured. Thanks!
Export options are available for Issue Details screens, but nothing like this is available for the Updates section of an Issue. For auditing we show documented actions like system activity or comments made and the only option I have today is utilizing the print function which doesn’t allow viewing the entire page.
When we create projects, we would like it to be easily identifiable by a docket number, something sequential eg 17-xxxx and should increment only by the specific object type eg Project. Unfortunately, the only available autonumbering available on Workfront is through all objects, meaning if I have 2 projects created, this could be 17-ABX1 and 17-1257 because of all objects created in between. We need this number to be sequential to the object only.

Or this not supported currently by the (versioned) API?Thank you,Tibor

Description - Many of my users work their tasks off of custom lists/reports/dashboards and not the Worklist. Currently delegated tasks do not pull into any sort of task/assignment reports, so I fear that if tasks are delegated to a user working off such a list, the tasks may fall off their radar as they don't pull in where their other assigned tasks do. Why is this feature important to you - Need this to fully utilize the task delegation feature. How would you like the feature to work - Fields would exist on task reports where you could pull in "tasks delegated to..." and it would reference user ID object. This would allow you to chose if you want delegated tasks to appear in a list or not. Even if they were a separate object report that would be ok! Just need some way to pull a them into a list. PS this is also an issue with personal tasks, reoccurring tasks, along with these delegated tasks. Though these are called "tasks" they don't pull into reports or s
I would find a great deal of value in a webinar/Q&A session with Adobe Product Managers tailored to understanding the pivot from the standard Proofing experience to the Unified Approvals experience. Seems to be a wide range of considerations and no hard deadlines on some required changes, but documentation seems “thin” and some of these changes need measurable documentation and process re-training in my organization. There is even documentation on how to use Unified Approvals and Proofing together https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/review-and-approve-work/document-reviews-and-approvals/manage-asset-review-and-approval/doc-approvals-and-proofing but not much that speaks to when existing Proofing functionality would be phased out completely. Can this type of information event be prioritized by the Workfront team?
Hello, Is there a way to sort my proof approvals in my homepage from newest to oldest? Right now, when I login, the default is it shows the oldest ones first. Thank you!
