Hi Community,I have a client that wants to see who is reviewing proofs and who is contributing. Ideally, against each version of a proof they want to see who's opened, commented and approved (not just total numbers but against each person). Similar to what is available when we get an email update as below. So if there are 3 versions of the proof, they would see this info for each proof.I think the information is there as we can go into versions of proofs and see this, but reporting on it is a pickle.Even if it's a case of getting raw data that can be pivoted in Excel would be a step forward.ThanksMatt

Of the various license types, which ones may enter time to a task on a project?
I'm wondering if I can add a column to a report that a user can enter a date and one that a user can enter a Yes or No answer. Is that possible to do in a report? I've tried looking in the documentation but I can't find anything.
Hi, I'm creating an automated tagging process based on criteria users select when submitting fields. The problem is that the instructions IF(CONTAINS( .... is too broad. When someone selects Wholesale and Retail Brokers, for example, WF delivers both abbreviations WBC_and WB, and it should only deliver WBC_ I need to change the code to include one of the fields, but to exclude a similar field IF(CONTAINS("All Brokers", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"ALL_"),IF(CONTAINS("Customers", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"CUST_"),IF(CONTAINS("Internal", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"INT_"),IF(CONTAINS("Retail Broker", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"RB_"),IF(CONTAINS("Retail Broker and Customer", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"RBC_"),IF(CONTAINS("Wholesale and Retail Brokers", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"WBC_"),IF(CONTAINS("Wholesale Broker", {DE:CS - GRS Audience}),"WB_"), I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you! Peggy
Additional note for 2024: please note that the post below was applicable for a beta version of Home which did not include the option to opt your entire instance into Home. At the time, admins were concerned over the usage and control of the beta Home product, so I developed the filter below as a way to help these discussions or to help alleviate the concerns. Since this post, Workfront has provided the option to opt in your entire instance, and over time, will probably change more. I'm leaving the post below because it still is a really good teaching tool for exists statements and user preferences -- but it should not be considered as a reliable way to indicate who is or isn't Home. Based on a prior post here: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/report-on-quot-send-work-i-assign-to-myself-to-my-working-on-tab/m-p/598680#M54028 I took things to their logical conclusion, which was to use an EXISTS statement to discern who
Dear All, I need to develop a project report that will only return the most recent projects, whether by project date or custom form date. Its part of wider requirement where we are trying to feed Workfront projects data into externally managed reports (excel). What we trying to avoid is manual processing of the data available by standard reporting tools. Has anybody attempted to find a solution for such requirement? I will appreciate all feedback!
Hi,Has anyone experienced switching a project task view from "List" to "Board" and the task view page draws a blank with and without the left plane menu displayed and are unable to switch it back to a list view? Board View option Board view with missing task. I know this could possibly be due to the project not connecting to a board but the option to switch back to a 'List" view isn't available. This is the display on our sandbox (Dev) environment but Prod draws a blank
Hi I'm looking to get some user feedback on a Workfront to Adobe Express Add-On Integration. You do not need to be an Adobe Express customers, but likely helpful if your organization does utilize one or more Adobe Creative tools. If you are willing, I'd love to setup a call, share my screen, and demo the proof of concept. We are looking for general feedback. It would probably take 15-30 minutes.
How to get the document content like text and pictures in Workfront fusion?
Hey all,Apologies if this has already been covered but I can't find anything. I have a report, that's grouped by the client's budget (brought in from request field), this is either empty, £0 or £XXI would like this to be just two groups.Group 1: empty or £0 budgetGroup 2: is more than £0Tried my hand in the text editor but couldn't get anything to work...Thanks in advanced!Screenshot below
Hi all - I'm trying to find a way to have the Portfolio field on a project automatically populate based on a field (Portfolio, typeahead) from the issue/request. Currently, we have requesters choosing the Portfolio, then at project conversion, our planners are manually populating the Portfolio field based on the selection from the request. Seems like we should be able to carry that over somehow, but I can't figure it out!! Has anyone done this before? Thank you in advance ...
Description - Add Admin setting to prevent users from moving Tasks that have logged Hours tied to it. There already exist settings to prevent users to delete hours with logged hours here and here. We need to be able to configure a similar setting but with respect to the ability to move a task from one project to another with logged hours. Why is this feature important to you - Without this feature, users are able to move a Task with logged Hours from one Project to another and the Hours get stuck in a state where they stay with the original Project but are no longer tied to a Task. We leverage meta-data on Tasks when reporting on Hours so it's critical that all Hours are tied to a Task. How would you like the feature to work - Ideally this works similar to the settings that manages whether users can delete Tasks with logged Hours, except we want to prevent them from being able to move tasks with logged Hours. Current Behaviour - When a user attempts to move a
Description -Would like the ability to duplicate an expense entry (much like we have the duplicate function for tasks)Current Behaviour We have expenses that are exactly the same within projects but must be split into separate expense entries for each location. Some such expenses may have 10 locations. Right now we enter 10 different expenses.
This might be a really ridiculous question, but I am trying to create a project for myself that tracks all my daily tasks. However, when I create a task, and then click in on it and create a subtask, the subtask ends up in the same primary task list as it's parent. And when I click on the first task I created all subtasks are no longer there. Am I doing this wrong, because I feel like this shouldn't be that difficult and feel this unwieldily. Thank you,
Dear community, There is a challenge when adjusting the "Start date" and "End date" of a task in the Workload balancer. Currently, Summary panel customisation only affects the tasks that are assigned to the logged-in user. Instead, we would like to have this improved in a way that mentioned customisation affects all the task assignees. Summary panel customisation is being set up in the Interface layout for the users, but also it is much needed for the resource managers who are in charge of the tasks assigned to their team members.Would it be possible to improve this functionality so clients can make the best out of Workfront? Looking forward to positive outcome of this request and appreciating your time in advance. Best regards,Sara
Description - When attempting to access AEM assets through WF documents section, if an asset is not available, then it should show the appropriate HTTP code instead of generic 404Why is this feature important to you - It will speed up the debugging process and give feedback on why asset retrieval failed. How would you like the feature to work - When a user clicks on the preview of a document that is an AEM asset, and they are not authorised, they will encounter 401 error with appropriate error message. When a user clicks on the preview of a document that is an AEM asset, and the AEM instance is not functioning, it will show the 500 error.Current Behaviour - You just get the 404 error.
So essentially I created a valueexpression that calculates the difference between the entry date and the actual completion date and returns a "## days" copy. I'm hoping to add custom formatting (cell color and text color) for any returns greater than both 30 and 90 days. I can't figure out how to align the comparison left and right text to return that outcome. Here is the code I have so far: displayname=Entry-Actual Completion Datelinkedname=directquerysort=plannedCompletionDatestyledef.case.1.comparison.icon=falsestyledef.case.1.comparison.leftmethod=directstyledef.case.1.comparison.lefttext=directstyledef.case.1.comparison.operator=gtstyledef.case.1.comparison.operatortype=datestyledef.case.1.comparison.righttext=90 Daysstyledef.case.1.comparison.trueproperty.0.name=textcolorstyledef.case.1.comparison.trueproperty.0.value=d30519styledef.case.1.comparison.trueproperty.1.name=bgcolorstyledef.case.1.comparison.trueproperty.1.value=eac6c9styledef.case.1.comparison.trueproperty.2.nam
First, I thought I've been following all the releases somewhat closely and didn't know this was coming, but I just noticed the "Board" icon that's available within a project while you're viewing "Tasks". I guess it's pretty nifty to switch from the standard list view to Boards view on the fly, except we haven't trained our users on Boards at all. In fact, on a recent webinar, I recall the advice was to go with either one or the other, and not use both. In any case, I still don't see this feature described in any of the release notes, but after searching on Exp League, I found this article, which seems to indicate I can't remove this Boards view: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/reporting/reports/report-elements/views-overview.html?lang=en Does anyone know differently? I'd like to eliminate any confusion among our users. Thanks, James
I have a user who was once able to see all the tasks and menu icons for a particular project. He is the manager of the project and his access is Planner level. Whenever I log in as Admin, I can see all of these things, and it's only recently that this happened to him. Is there something I can do to restore this, because this is a pretty big problem. My View (In Chrome): My User's View (In Firefox):
I am trying to add a new user however when I submit I get an error stating that the username is already taken. When I try to search the user it does not exist and when I try to assign a task to this user it cannot find them. How can I fix this?
Hi everyone,I have a project owner who can't see all of the expenses they entered in. Currently they can see about a 1/4th of the expenses they entered in the project. Is there anything I should check for? They all have the same custom form applied and I can't think of anything else that would be substantially different between the entries.
Hi there - can someone help me figure out the following? I have 2 Custom Fields, and I need to subtract one from the other, but cannot seem to get it to work. I created the Custom column for a Report 'Active # of Weeks'; I need to subtract the # of Days on Hold from the Actual Duration (Days) to get this value. The results I am getting are simply a 'negative' of the number I enter for the # of Days on Hold (i.e., if I enter 2 for # of Days on Hold, I get a '-2' returned). Please disregard my 'Weeks' in the below, it is another issue, but I really need to get this calculation working and can fix that later.Below is my formula: aggregator.namekey=Active # of Weeksaggregator.valuefield=DE:Active # of Weeksdisplayname=Active # of Weekslinkedname=directnamekey=Active # of Weeksquerysort=DE:Active # of Weekstextmode=truevalueexpression=SUB({DE:Actual Duration (Days)}, {DE:# of Days On Hold})valuefield=Active # of Weeksvalueformat=doubleAsInt
Description -Why is this feature important to you - The visuals in Workfront under the Gantt section are not visually easy to work with. Right now my team will use Microsoft project to get the visual and because it is easier to set up the project and then upload into Workfront. Why should we have Workfront if they are doing the Work in Microsoft? Also, Microsoft project works a lot like Excel when it comes to filling a series. For example: you have a user that is responsible for multiple tasks. Microsoft project lets you fill and copy down. Workfront makes you go into edit mode in order to do that. Just an extra step. My feedback: study Microsoft Project and look at the visuals that they created and how easy it is to quickly fill in names and other items.
I have a parent task with a filled out custom form, I want the subtasks to inherit the information of the parent task's custom form. How can I make this work? Can simply adding the custom form to each subtask (in the template tasks) enable the values to inherit to each subtask from the parent task?
