Adobe Workfront General

I can't find a way to do this, but it would be incredibly helpful, negating the need to go into every ticket for a current view of delivery stage and latest update Any advice gratefully received. I'll keep tinkering in the meantime and post up a solution if I find one for future reference.

I'm currently working on extracting project details from Workfront using the API. I've tried using the endpoint https://*.my.workfront.com/attask/api/v15.0/proj/search, but it seems to only return completed projects. I need to retrieve the entire list of projects from the Project Dashboard in Workfront.Could someone please provide me with the correct API endpoint or method to achieve this?

One of our users picked the wrong Topic Group when they submitted their request. Is there any way of changing it so it appears in the correct Topic Group?

Friends, This item has stumped me.  I created a calc field to do a simple sum of if a typeahead field has a project in it or not...a 0 if nothing, a 1 if something in it.  It works correctly when editing the form and choosing something in the typeahead field.  As soon as I save the form the calculated field reverts to 0 (instead of 2 as the image shows) even though the typeahead fields have something in it.  Any thoughts on why this might be occurring?

I'm trying to create a report that shows the projects assigned to a user and I'm having issues with the wildcard $$USER.ID filter. When I create the report and use the Project>>Owner ID Equal $$USER.ID filter, the report only shows the projects assigned to me, no matter which user is logged in and viewing the report. I have other reports in place that use the USER.ID wildcard and they work just fine. However, any new report I try to create has this problem. I tried copying a report that is working with the USER.ID wildcard and editing it to show the data I need, and the copied report only shows the projects assigned to me no matter who is logged in.   Any suggestions for how I can fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello, Not sure if anyone has come across an issue like this. We maintain an editorial dashboard that tracks email release times by week. By consolidating all our email sends, we are able to quickly assess our traffic (and pull back on specific emails if we feel that recipients are receiving too many in any given week). Most of our email projects only require one send. However, we are now fielding requests for Journey emails which may require multiple sends. Our intake form allows the requestor to indicate multiple dates; for instance, the initial email can be scheduled for September 10th, with follow on sends September 15th, 20th, 25th, etc... The custom fields are named "2nd Publish Date," "3rd Publish Date," etc.. As the report is grouped by week, we would like the report to show each separate send - in other words, not just the initial Sept 10th send, but separate line items for all the subsequent sends as well. I'm looking for the code that would allow the report to show all su

The following is our PTO request process: Does anyone have a similar process and how do you use Workfront to manage your process. How to enter your PTO: Workfront Request Time-off  PTO by filling out the Time Off RequestOnce approved, mark your Time-off in Workfront - See Steps Below Click on Menu Icon in top rightClick on your nameClick on Time Off (in the left-hand nav)Select the dates you have approval to take PTO for and click saveWhen entering your time in your timesheet, enter it on the PTO line at the bottom of your timesheet To track your used PTO in the report in Workfront

How can you limit the characters in a single text field?

Hello Community,Is there a way to have a project task or a request close automatically once a proof has been approved? We are getting Fusion implemented now so that may be an option, if needed. Thank you,

Hi, Is it possible to move a proof (with a workflow) to a different project? ThanksMatt

Hey guys! you may recognize some of the needs I'll be asking about from another question I post which is linked here: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/a-report-on-dual-assigned-tasks-requests/m-p/614929#M55745That should provide some background information on what I am looking for. So when we have two assignees on a task or request, we want to see that both of them have submitted hours on it, not just if the task or request has any hours on it. This previous question had solved it to supply that information onto a report for an individual user, but now I'm trying to figure out how to take this to a company level chart. I want a chart that is grouped by actual completion date by month, stacked by assignee, on the grounds that the user did not submit hours to a completed task/request regardless of whether they are a primary assignee. I'm thinking this needs to be an assignment report, but how would I group it by actual completion date? D

I'm working on a report that is meant to isolate tasks for a user that they have not reported hours when they are not the primary assignee. My logic goes; If the task is assigned to $$USER.ID, and there are reported hours on the task, and the hours are not owned by $$USER.IDThe issue I am running into is that this only works as a task/request report, not an hours report. I need to use an EXISTS filter to isolate the hour owner, but I'm still struggling to comprehend how to use it

Is there a way (possibly using the Text Mode module) to change the formatting for how Group headers are displayed in a task level report?  We have a report that groups four levels deep, but it is hard to distinguish between the groups and the tasks the report is displaying. I've formatted the returned tasks to help them stand out, but it is still hard to distinguish the hierarchy of the groups themselves. I was hoping there might be a way to change the background color of the grouping header, or the text itself to make things easier to digest at a glance. Below is the coding I have for the groupings as they stand right now:  group.0.displayname=The "A"group.0.linkedname=project:sponsor:Namegroup.0.namekey=view.relatedcolumngroup.0.namekeyargkey.0=project:sponsor:Namegroup.0.namekeyargkey.1=namegroup.0.valuefield=project:sponsor:Namegroup.0.valueformat=stringgroup.1.displayname=Project Statusgroup.1.enumclass=com.attask.common.constants.ProjectStatusEnumgroup.1.

We have different COMPANIES set up and a user in company B can see all work item notifications (numbered icon in the upper-right corner of Workfront) across all companies. I've checked permissions in every space possible, but can't resolve the issue of one company seeing all notifications.  Any suggestions?

I am trying to create a document report for approvals and I want to be able to group the documents by Portfolio (event) then Program (campaign); these docs are all hosted in projects under the portfolio/program. I can't access these field options in the document report so I tried playing around with text mode. However when I try to reference the portfolio/campaign tied to the document's project I get No Value for everything. Below is what I tried to just get the portfolio name to group/show in the report. group.0.displayname=Eventgroup.0.linkedname=portfoliogroup.0.namekey=view.relatedcolumngroup.0.namekeyargkey.0=portfoliogroup.0.namekeyargkey.1=namegroup.0.valuefield=documentVersion:document:project:portfolio:namegroup.0.valueformat=stringtextmode=true

Is anyone else experiencing a glitch in the Workload Balancer when you add planned hours? On our instance, when we add planned hours and save, the numbers will change and have decimal points. This has happened a few times in the past, but I’m not showing that this is a known issue.I submitted a ticket on Friday, tested yesterday and today and we still have this issue.

Does anyone know if it's possible to export custom prompt info (labels and conditions)?I have a lengthy custom prompt that I need to use in another report and was hoping to avoid copying/pasting all the values (the original is a task report, and the one I'm creating is a project report, so I can't simply make a copy of the report). Thanks!

Is there a way in a task report to include a specific task and planned completion date? In my example I have a report for all Late task. For the Late task I can pull in the Next task, see below. But I’d also like to pull in our Delivery task name and planned completion date for the project. Any thoughts on how to get this to work? displayname=Next Tasklistdelimiter=listmethod=nested(successors).liststextmode=truetype=iteratevalueexpression=CONCAT({successor}.{plannedCompletionDate},' - ',{successor}.{name})valueformat=HTML

We have many recurring projects that we don't want to enter into Workfront and create manually every week. For example: Every Monday, project A is dueEvery Tue, Wed, Thu, project B is dueThe 1st Fri of the month, project C is due Instead of manually creating a request for each project, what is the best way to create the request once and have it set to recurring? Each project will be assigned to an individual member of our team.

Is it possible to mark a task as 100% complete once the deadline has passed in Fusion? If so, is there a recommendation you can provide on where to start to build this in Fusion?   I tried the Auto Complete Task Tracking on the task but it will not mark as complete. We have an unassigned role that sits on these tasks, so I am not sure if this is causing the problem of not marking it as complete. We are not able to remove the unassigned role as we have reports pulling from these unassigned tasks.   Thank you!

What I'm looking for is a way to reset the "Due On" field to auto-update based on the predecessor that's been assigned. Let's say you set up a project and set all the predecessors, but the date on several tasks are manually changed for any reason. Once you manually edit a "Due On" date, it won't auto-update no matter what predecessors are assigned anymore. Is there a way to reset it back to auto-updating? Screenshot with notes attached to help clarify what I'm looking for.

Hello, Is anyone willing to share some examples of prompts they have used in ChatGPT-4 or other AI apps to get the AI to understand how Workfront works to provide useful guidance and text mode code? This is what I have used so far, but it almost never provides me with the correct guidance. I have tried using the Voxscript plugin and the new Bing web search capabilities without much luck.  Using Voxscript, completely explore every link and chunk: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/home.html?lang=en Once you have learned everything from these pages, act as a Workfront expert to answer any questions I may have. Refer back to the above URL using Voxscript if you need to look for additional resources. Use the text mode code below as an example to learn from when providing code:displayname=Last Updateimage.case.0.comparison.icon=trueimage.case.0.comparison.leftmethod=lastNote:entryDateimage.case.0.comparison.lefttext=lastNote:entryDateimage.case.0

Let me see if I can word this properly. I think the answer is "no" but I am often surprised by capabilities in WF. If I have a group / team of external requestors who are accessing the same custom form that ties to a request que that has 4 topic groups: can I hide one of the topic groups so option is not seen by certain people. I have created a sep team for these out-layers but since they are accessing same form I am telling them to just ignore 3 options and choose the 4th I want to avoid setting up an additional Request que if possible. appreciate any insight....the routing takes place in request que itself and not form so??? I'm looking for ideas from the community on how to best retire queue topics without losing artifact data. We have queues with hundreds of topics that are constantly changing. In order to report on the demand by request type, we rely on the Queue Topic ID/Name field. The only way to deactivate a queue topic is to delete it. Doing so results in issues with a blank "Queue Topic ID". Since we rely on the Queue Topic Name/ID for reports, we don't want to lose the ability to report on this field. One idea I had was to move them within the queue into a "DO NOT USE-ARCHIVED QUEUE TOPICS" topic group, which is clunky but works.Another idea I have is to attach a custom form to all Issues that use the to-be-retired queue topic, allowing us to "tag" the issues with the queue topic details. This takes some work, and also makes reporting much more challenging. It sure would be nice if we could hide/show queue topics, similar to options in a drop menu in the custom

Not sure if this is bad syntax or not a possible filter?  All I know is this throws an error.  Expert advice needed! I'm obviously not an API explorer expert but it looks like I should be able to access the field.  project:status=CURproject:status_Mod=inDE:Key Date=YesDE:Key Date_Mod=inproject:convertedOpTaskOriginator:homeTeamID=$$USER.homeTeamIDproject:convertedOpTaskOriginator:homeTeamID_Mod=in
