In this session, Elise walked through Unified Review and Approvals, highlighting how creatives can work directly in Creative Cloud while assets, versions, and approvals stay synced across the workflow. She also demonstrated how AI capabilities can accelerate the review and approval process, shared current functionality and upcoming roadmap enhancements, and outlined how teams can transition gradually to the new experience.

[Event Follow-Up] Making the Switch: Preparing for Your Move to Unified Review and Approvals - 9/15/26

Thanks to Travis Jordan ​@Travis_Jordan for leading today’s event and walking through 5 key changes when moving from legacy Proof-based review. A sneak peek into the Product roadmap was also covered, so if you’re interested in hearing what’s coming, be sure to review the on-demand resources below. 

• New Workfront version: Admins enable it in Setup after provisioning; a staged rollout (small group first) is recommended to test workflows before wider conversion, and existing projects stay on legacy storage unless actively migrated.  

• Adobe Cloud Storage replaces Workfront storage: Becomes the default for new projects, pooled at 60 GB per licensed user across the org, with alerts at 75/90/100% usage; capacity issues are addressed at renewal, not mid-term purchases.  

• Frame.io replaces Workfront Proof: Default review/approval surface for new projects, no separate license needed; external reviewers face monthly decision limits by package tier (3/5/7), and video approval requests are capped at 10% of licenses, annually, counted by approval flow. 

  • Those are approval requests not to be confused with approval decisions

  • An account with Frame.io Enterprise attached to this new experience has the cap lifted automatically

  • For example, if your company has 200 licenses, you would be capped annually on 20 video approval requests 

• Frame.io Enterprise for creative WIP: Enables shared project collaboration, direct asset editing, internal commenting before external sharing, and watermarked vendor sharing, while Workfront retains orchestration and stays synced.  

• Enhanced documents experience: Adds better versioning, integrations with Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator/Frame.io, multi-stage and bulk review workflows, and two-way linking with AEM assets; a custom document table view is planned for next year.

Thank you for this series. We are just at the beginning of our switch over, and the first thing we noticed is that there doesn't appear to be a way to return to the Workfront project from the Frame Viewer. Am I missing something?
