Workfront announcement ROPG

Hi Everyone,

  • We recently received the Workfront announcement : ROPG access will expire in 29 days.

We are currently using an OAuth2 application (web app). Could you please confirm whether this change will impact our setup? Also, I would appreciate any guidance on what areas I should review or check to ensure there’s no disruption.

    Hi @sivak1, 

     

    Thank you for your question! If your integration uses the OAuth2 Authorization flow, the ROPG (Resource Owner Password Grant) deprecation does not impact you. The ROPG change only affects legacy integrations that authenticate by sending a username and password directly to the API. Modern OAuth2 applications, including web apps using the Authorization Code flow are not affected by this change.
