New Fusion System Admins, and Looking for How Tos

Greetings All. My co-worker and I are looking for places where we can learn. We both took the Bootcamp, but we feel there's so much context to understand that we need to learn more. We're also wondering when to choose which module for what.

  1. Are there sub communities we should follow?
  2. Are there any videos, or reading material?
  3. Any training available from Adobe?
  4. Should we take the reporting training?
  5. What about API training?

We will take anything you can share with us! Thank you!

* even if none of them particularly interest you, you should take a look at the fusion templates that are provided by workfront (located in your fusion). These provide you with some working examples of how automations are built. I'm finding the more practice you get, the easier it will become.

* Fusion was forked off a similar platform called "Make", so you can also look for training material from Make and it will somewhat be similar.

I started learning Fusion 6 months ago and am the solo dev on the initiative. I have a fundamental background in coding and APIs. I would first recommend all of the video modules in the tutorial section, getting familiar with the Workfront API, and Workfront's capabilities. Then I would play around with creating scenarios in the preview server to get a grip of all of the features of Fusion. After this I would browse this forum and the Workfront forum to expand your ideas. Lots of people post great questions that can facilitate ideas that could benefit your own company. If you are really stuck on something I would submit a support ticket. Another good option is the monthly community workshops that Adobe hosts, I try to attend the Fusion and Workfront ones.

Another this I did was look at other experienced user's questions and answers by clicking on their profiles. Also refer to a post I made a while back When To Use the Different Workfront Fusion Triggers

You can find the Adobe training here: Introduction and tech strategy | Adobe Workfront and in the following pages. This is a good starting point to build your fundamentals (don't just watch, create scenario after you complete watching the video).

Additionally, I recommend exploring YouTube content on the following topics for a basic understanding to get started and practice:
1) API Fundamentals and HTTP calls - After this, practice Workfront API calls in Postman
2) JSON Data Structures Fundamentals (Arrays and Collections)
3) Practice Fusion functions by creating your own sample data: Functions references: article index | Adobe Workfront
4) Understand the basics of the Webhook Concept.

For practice, connect your Sandbox to Fusion and also follow the Fusion community page for learning.
