need help filtering for null or not null SFDC fields

I need to set up a multicondition filter that looks at three fields

The Sales Stage field CONTAINS Closed Won AND MA field IS NOT NULL AND VMA field IS NULL

OR

The Sales Stage field CONTAINS Closed Won AND MA field IS NOT NULL AND VMA field IS NOT NULL

To express IS NOT NULL, I've used

does not exist
not equal to ""
not equal to " "
not equal to none
not equal to empty

None of these work. Any suggestions?

Hi catherine,

The basic operator does not exist should be correct to check if not null.

Could you please post a screenshot of the whole filter?

Thanks @lgaertner I hadn't used Does Not Exist consistantly in my original test. Correcting this solved the problem.

I appreciate the help!
