Fusion Onboarding & Adoption

Hey there! I'm looking to connect with a few fellow Workfront Admins to discuss your experience onboarding and adopting Fusion. We see the potential this tool has and can't believe we've gone this long without it. A few of the questions we have are below. Please let me know if you are interested in connecting - greatly appreciate your time and any feedback! 

  1. What was your experience implementing Fusion - did you handle it internally or utilize consultants/adobe services?
  2. What does your Workfront/Fusion team structure look like? 
  3. How long did it take to feel confident in managing integrations on your own? 
  4. What technical background do you think is truly necessary to administer Fusion successfully? 
  5. How steep was the learning curve compared to Workfront itself? Recommendations on effective training? 
  6. If you were starting over, what would you do differently in terms of planning, setup, documentation, etc?

    Hi Meghan,

     

    I would agree with you - we cannot live without Fusion.   This makes work less cumbersome for our end-users when we can automate.

     

    Implementing Fusion for us was not too bad.  We did have a mix of consultants and training to get us started.   But for the most part, we were able to pick it up pretty quickly.    We will still use a consultant for our more difficult scenarios instead of us spinning our wheels.

     

    Fusion is managed by two people in our company.   We have about 15 active scenarios and about 15 more that are run as needed (meaning we click the run button when needed).  For the two of us, it took about 6 months before we were really understanding all of the modules.   A great resource for learning is make.com - it was very helpful for us.   The Adobe training on fusion helps understand what is possible, but when we took it, it lacked the understanding of each module.

     

    At the last Adobe Summit, we had the opportunity to talk with Ewan and took his labs as well.   This was extremely helpful in making us more comfortable in using Fusion.   Ewan is a great resource inside of Adobe.   The one thing we would have done differently is better documentation in how we set up the scenarios and why.   Ewan gave us a template to use for documentation that we have used since.   It is very helpful in understanding each Scenario.
