Workfront new 'Environment Promotion' functionality

I am trying to understand how the new 'environment Promotion' functionality works. For any new object it is easy to promote/deploy from lower instances to Production instance of workfront. But when its coming to existing objects like Custom forms/fields, I am very confused how the promotion exactly work.

 

Can anyone kind enough to share some knowledge on this functionality please?

The workfront promotion capability seems like working well for any new configurations.(not for existing configurations, may be I might have done it wrong way)

Hi @srinija_n 

 

You select the desired Custom forms (the fields are implicitly added)

But note that IDs will change: If you promote form "my form" the ID in the target environment will be a new one.
