Workfront as a Planning Tool

Does anyone use Workfront as a tool to house full year marketing plans? We are currently using WF only has a project intake & management tool. We are looking for a solution for our marketing directors to input their full year plans which would then have a feed or connection into WF for our account team to manage the individual projects.  I appreciate any input regarding WF or other tools. TYIA!

    Hi @gregoryla,

     

    In addition to the Workfront Planner links my nimble-fingered colleague @richard_le_ provided (and the general confirmation that the many built in features can take you a long way towards what you're after), I invite you to also consider some of these solutions which other Workfront Clients use to leverage and extend the native functionality:

     

    • MarCom Gantt to easily create, compare, sort, and adjust key Program level planning data including colorized Phase dates, Priority and % Complete as per this video
    • Swimlane to tag Projects, Tasks, and Issues into a useful and combined Swimlane Report by Portfolio, Program, Project Owner, or Project as per this video
    • Swimlane Advanced to create Swimlane reports with customizable Panels, Timeframes, Swimlanes, Icons, Labels, and Colors as per this video
    • Roadmap to tag existing Tasks with data driven bar colors, fonts, and icons to efficiently generate real time professional Roadmap reports at various levels of detail
    • Editorial Calendar to distill your Social Media Plans into a centralized, image-enabled set of calendars you can easily filter, adjust, print, act upon, and monitor, all in real time
    • Budget vs Actual to set your Portfolio, Program, and/or Project level budgets for the upcoming year, then monitor Budget vs Actual dollars and % throughout the year (one of many that handle financials)
