Watch Events for Deleted Records in Workfront Planning

Hi community! Has anyone run into issues with watch events not triggering in Fusion scenarios for Workfront Planning?

It works as expected when the record isn’t connected, but as soon as I connect the record, the watch event doesn’t seem to pick it up. Curious if others have seen this or found a workaround. Have a support ticket but wanted to check here as well.

Hi @VicSellers , there can be multiple reasons behind this behavior, but I wanted to share a few common checks from our side that could help identify the root cause. Since you already have a support ticket open, the team can also take a closer look if everything below appears correctly configured.

Sometimes events are delayed due to heavy load in Fusion’s worker pool. The scenario may look idle, but events are actually queued and processed with a lag.

Check the Queue tab on your scenario’s trigger and see if executions are piling up. If yes, it may just be a temporary capacity issue and events should process once the backlog clears.

Also, if “Exclude events made by this connection” is enabled, and the action is being performed by the same user tied to the connection, the event will be ignored.

If the webhook was migrated or rebuilt recently, please also verify that it’s using the correct field IDs and filters for the current environment.

Double-check the Watch Event filter settings and the connection user. You can also try triggering the event from a different user to see if the behavior changes.

Hopefully this helps narrow things down a bit.
