How can I upload a document link from a software like sharepoint? Is this exact functionality possible within Fusion using the API?

Hi @lawson02

Thank you for your question! To clarify, you don't want to upload a document into Workfront; instead, you want to upload a document link into a certain object in Workfront?

Yes, this is possible through Fusion. I will link or Workfront and Sharepoint modules below:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront-fusion/using/references/apps-and-their-modules/adobe-connectors/workfront-modules

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront-fusion/using/references/apps-and-their-modules/third-party-app-connectors/sharepoint-modules

A possible workflow would be:

1) Set a trigger depending on the action required and object type working with

2) Add a Sharepoint module to fetch the document metadata and generate a shareable link for a file in Sharepoint

3) Use an Update Record module to map the shareable link from Sharepoint into a WF object (maybe into a custom form field)

Can the sharepoint link be uploaded into the documents tab?

The only way to display the link/URL to the Sharepoint file directly in the Documents tab is through an interactive proof. This may ask the viewing user to sign in to Sharepoint depending on your configured file permissions.
