Updating user email makes them Deleted on proofs

Hello!

I have a user who I recently had to update their email address. To do that, I had to deactivate him, update the email, then reactivate. In doing that, all the proofs he was a reviewer/approver on show him as (deleted). He can still see that he needs to approve the proofs in the widgets or through the email notifications, but when he tries to open the proof he’s told he doesn’t have access rights. Anyone know a work around?

Justin

@JustinWa2, can you check if his old e-mail address is still available in ProofHQ? Workfront and ProofHQ (Workfront Proofing) have different “systems” so the email address in ProofHQ might be different - I think this might be the reason why he lost access. Can you check what is there?

For bulk update - I would use Fusion to find all proofs where he was approver/reviewer (with his old e-mail address) and then use the same logic to update all those proofs with his new e-mail address.
