Update Stream: Tagging transparency

Not tagging a person on a update and going back and relying to that comment a week later makes it look like the person has been tagged on both comments.

It allow a person to come back and say"this person was tagged the whole time"

The user should know exactly who was tagged on each individual comment. This will hold people accountable foe tagging the appropriate people at the time of the comment.

Attached a snapshot from a ticket I opened. Was asked to put this into Idea Exchange but I think that 18.1 release and before worked differently then it does in 18.2

Has anyone else had issues with users being removed from update threads? I noticed a comment this morning giving me approval on something (only because I happened to click into the project) and I never received a notification via email or in my Workfront notification area. This comment was part of a thread that I had been tagged on previously.

Yes, but I don't know if users were actually removed or if it's just a feature(?) of the newest update? To be honest, I am very confused as to who gets tagged now. I feel as though I need to @tag anyone I want to see the update, even if they are on previous tags. Am I the only one having this problem? I've seen explanations on this from others here but I still don't get it and if I don't get it, my users won't either!

I believe I'm just reiterating what most other people are saying....

I've had issues of users being dropped off a thread. I notice when replying to a thread and not tagging anyone, it only tags one of the users (the last one to comment previously?) or no one. I would love to see the list of all the people tagged with each comment in the thread so you know when people were added or removed, instead of seeing a list of names only after the latest comment. And if you comment to a thread without tagging, it should tag everyone (and show you the list so it's transparent who is being tagged).

This is so very alarming. How do we know if this is something the Workfront team is planning to address? Anyone know?

I opened a ticket for this last week, still no solution. I was asked if it was a regular occurrence or a sporadic thing, and I said it has happened more times than it should have. Will let you all know if I hear anything.

should have a more intuitive indicator.

Question for Workfront - I know the product roadmap for Q3 webinar is tomorrow. Can we get confirmation or an update here on the status of this requested change?

Yes, please give us an update in the Webinar!!

I agree! We need to clear up tagging so everyone can streamline communication to optimize workflow.

This defect needs to be fixed. The lack of visibility to see who has been tagged on comments is a huge gap and causes a lot of confusion for users.
