Unable to remove field tracking

Dear All,

Im working on revamping our request forms and have come across and issue with field settings. When I started I though it will be a good idea to track several fields in the objects update feed. Than I realised there is a limitation of 300 fields. If I try to remove selection for objects and apply / save the changes it does not remove it when I reopen the form. How can this be resolved?
