total number of stories created in iteration is not matching up to actual number of stories

As you can see in below screenshot, total number of stories displayed on dashboard is not matching up to actual number of stories existing inside of corresponding iteration.

Anyone ran into this issue? How do you resolve this issue?

    Hi there, do you ever assign stories/tasks to multiple people? That would be a reason why you have more in your filter #s than in the total stories number. If you have a story assigned to 3 people, for example, it'll show in those username filters for all 3 of them but would only count as 1 in your story count.

    Hi there, do you ever assign stories/tasks to multiple people? That would be a reason why you have more in your filter #s than in the total stories number. If you have a story assigned to 3 people, for example, it'll show in those username filters for all 3 of them but would only count as 1 in your story count.
