Time spent on a stage in a workflow

Looking for a way to report on how long a stage remains active on a specific proof in a specific workflow and I can't seem to figure it out.  For example, I have an R&D stage on a Packaging workflow and I want to know how long that stage stayed active on a specific proof(s).
