Task Percent Complete

Hello! Is there a setting on the task level to show the gradual task percent completion as users mark Done with My Part. For example: John, David, Jane, and Sue are all on one task together. John and Sue both mark Done with My Part, but David and Jane have not. Is there a way for that task to automatically show itself as 50% complete when seeing the complete task list at the project level? Right now, our tasks are either 0% or 100%, so we can't tell if anyone has even clicked the button without clicking into each individual task to see. Would be great if there were an automated setting we could apply. Thank you, Lila Whitney Discover Financial Services

Hi Lila, I don't believe so. The % Complete field at the individual Task level is very manual. The only way I can think of to accomplish this (other than some kind of API or app from Doug) would be to have a separate task for each person under a Parent or Summary Task. Then when they mark each task complete, it'll roll up the calculation of the % Complete of the Parent/Summary Task.

Touche, Vic üòâ Having slept on it...I remember designing an "http://store.atappstore.com/product/ubercalc/">UberCalc solution that: Would use a filter to retrieve those Tasks with a custom data parameter called Auto-Complete and had a Percent Complete less than 100 For each, calculate the ideal Percent Complete at the time using the Planned Start Date and Planned Completion Dates vs $$NOW (ie assuming the Task was happening on time, in real time) Update each Task's Percent Complete accordingly Would also recalc such Task's Project's timelines Effectively auto-advance Workfront Projects, in a "no hands" fasion Would pair beautfully with our "http://store.atappstore.com/product/executive-status-report/">Executive Status Report solution Sorry, Other Doug Vic Meant, if I stole your thunder.
