Task now ready to start notification when predecessor is in a different project

I need the assignee to a task to receive a Task now ready to start notification for a task that has a predecessor in a different project. When i tested the notification was only sent if the predecessor was in the same project. Is there a way to get this to work? Or, is there another way for the assignee to this task to be informed when the task in the other project is completed?

When testing it right now, I noticed that even though the cross-project predecessor was completed the dependent task isn't updating that it is ready to start and isn't populated into the user's worklist unless filtered for Not Ready.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or delay but you might want to contact support for your specific issue so they can troubleshoot and resolve if it's a bug.
