Sharing template task access

We have a strong need to do this. There is one task in every project we open that requires Manage access throughout the entire org. But, we don't want to give the entire org Manage access to every task in every project. Therefore, we have to manually update the task for that project and it is often forgotten.

Would like to have the ability to set access to specific tasks in project templates.

in our case we want to delegate resourcing to eg. the discipline leads without giving them general assignment access

Agreed, we could use this as well. This would come in handy when multiple resource managers need to make assignment decisions on a project, without giving them access to each other's tasks.

We would also use this to grant certain users the ability to edit task approval processes.

Workfront currently prioritizes large-scale, foundational enhancements such as the new Reporting experience and changes to the core data model, so this item does not fit in our near-term roadmap. As such, I am marking this as Declined now, but we'll keep this in our backlog for the improvements for this area so that we can revisit the decision in the future.
