Requestor Role - do they have permission to initiate/open a project?

I updated 2 users from Reviewers to Requestors so they can open their own projects. Is this the correct access to do so?

Hi Vicki,

If by 'open' you mean start a fresh project, then no, Reviewer and Requestor can not do that because it's simply not possible to provide that level of access in your Access settings for those roles, even as a Light license. If you want staff to be able to start, run or participate in projects aside from limited proofing and @mentions, then the person must be in a paid license level. You can allow Requestors and Reviewers to View the Project details. May need to check your system configuration.

hi, you can find out more about access levels here:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/administration-and-setup/add-users/legacy-access-levels/default-access-levels-in-workfront

but really, the best thing you could do is log in as each user and make sure they are able to do what you're picturing. This way, no matter what the Workfront functionality is that you're referring to as "open" a "project", you can test it out and see for yourself.

Workfront system default 'Requestor' or 'Reviewer' access levels doesnt have access to edit or create projects. The minimum access level they need is 'Worker' and above. You can also create or edit your access levels permissions in the setup.
