Reporting on Approved, Rejected and Pending issue-based approvals

We created an issue report to filter based on a custom status tied to Stage 1 of an approval path. The report is looking for issues in that status (Events Approval) or the pending version (Events Approval - Pending Approval). We need to also show whether the issues are Approved or Rejected. How do we add that information, but also revise filters so that Approved issues that are converted to projects (and their status changes accordingly) don't drop off the report?
