Removing a user from all projects without deactivating them

I've got a user who is a high level leader of our digital development team. He's in many jobs - not usually with assigned tasks but he's in lots of comments and many jobs are shared with him specifically so they show up on his "Projects I'm On" widget. He's moving to another position in the company and does not need to be in all those jobs (and will possibly be dropped down to a free/requestor account access). Is there any mass-remove tool in Workfront? The bulk edit feature in the Workload Balancer requires project names and these are dozens of different projects with unrelated names. Deactivating isn't an option, he needs to maintain his history since he will still be interacting with our team even though it's in a different position and different responsibilities.

I dread going into every job he's on and manually un-sharing them.

Bulk assignments requires project name OR project status. Can you just filter for a Project Status of Current (or whatever) and then "unassign user"? Or what is the problem with that, if there is one?

Unassign user under Bulk Assignments should work. You can do this on every project using Workload balancer functionality.

or "Resourcing" menu > Workload balancer. But filter on Project name or Project status is required here.

Hope this helps!

It does! I'd only used the balancer to assign based on project name; I didn't even notice it had a status option. Thanks!

Just replying here because removing user assignments via bulk assignments does not remove them from the people section of a project, so they will still receive notifications and projects will show up in "projects I'm on"
