is anyone else getting these popup messages when they get in their workfront instance? Are they just going out to admin level license holders or to all users? -skye

I am encouraging everyone to give it a zero score. Maybe if they see only negative scores, they'll stop this nonsense.

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all of you for sharing your feedback here. I’ve gathered some information about surveys inside of Workfront and wanted to share some insight with you as well as the best way to submit your feedback for your account.

Why does Workfront do surveys?

  • Gathering feedback from all users of an application is an important tool to guide the direction of the product.
  • The survey referenced in this thread is currently set to be seen only twice a year by the same user and will go away after one click. To make the survey go away you can close the survey or answer just the first question. It will only pop up again in that same time period if it’s not dismissed or closed by clicking on one of the two areas in the screenshot below.

  • The survey is random and evenly distributed throughout a 6-month period, and the same user should not get surveyed twice within that period. If this is not the case, please let us know.

Sharing In-App Survey Feedback

  • You can request that your account or specific license levels, do not get served the Workfront surveys through the following process:
    • Submit a support ticket. In the ticket, include what you’d like changed with regards to surveys in your instance of Workfront. For example, what license level should be excluded.
    • The support team will then kick off an internal process to work on updating things for your account.

Kyna, this is not aimed at you, but your powers-that-be:

  • Microsoft doesn't do in-app surveys in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.
  • Adobe doesn't do in app surveys in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Apple and Microsoft don't survey their operating system users with pop-ups.
  • Google doesn't do in-app surveys in Chrome.
  • Nor Apple in Safari.
  • Nor DAM vendors.
  • Nor VPN vendors.
  • Nor Box.
  • Nor any other major SaaS vendors we use.

You know the only class of app that does this in my experience? Free phone and web apps.

You know how other vendors do surveys? By email and only to the business owners. Or via the sales rep, and only to the business owners.

Since Workfront in not "free-in-exchange for ads and data mining Google Project Manager 21.4" I feel the pop-up surveys and log-in page ads are both wildly inappropriate.

    Thank you Jeremy for taking the time out to listen to the concerns over the pop-up ads. It was great hearing more about the background for some of these, and I appreciate that you are taking suggestions for alternatives back to the powers-that-be.
