I am a long time Workfront user with little exposure MS Project. We have recently hired a new project manager with a lot of experience managing using MS Project and Excel. Does anyone have some guidance on making the transition from Project to Workfront? Thanks! Daniel Cooley Kenall

Out of curiosity - as someone who took one look at the Legacy Gantt when we got Workfront a year ago and thought "uggllyyyyy" - which pieces of functionality still can't be done outside of it? Jamie Hill JLL

David – We don't use the new resource planner for a number of reasons. We use the Legacy Gantt and Legacy resource planner. I know they want to be rid of them because of the underlying technology on which they are based. Until they create equivalent, not "new and improved and optimized for Marketers" functionality, we're going to be really stuck when they get rid of them. Not looking forward to that day. Eric

Eric, maybe we can build a new community-designed user interface which just uses the Workfront API to retrieve & store the data?!? :) David Cornwell

Hi: I would rather be in cahoots with Doug and the AtApp Team. They can probably get something sexy to market faster than you or I could Eric

Permit me to clarify my recent remarks. I don't mean to be exclusionary. I think it you and I put together the use cases, flowcharts, and whatnot, and share that with Doug and Chris at AtAppStore, I bet they could do amazing things. We may find they are already working on something. They're good at filling gaps in the WorkFront product offering. That is what I meant... Thanks Eric

No worries Eric. My suggestion was tongue in cheek anyway! David Cornwell
