Matrix Report with Drill Down

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to create a matrix report that lets users drill down to see the data similar to Jira.

So for instance, if the matrix report for requests is grouped by assignee and status and shows the count for each, I would like to be able to click on that count and see the underlying requests. The only option I have seen so far is to switch between the matrix and details view.
