Is there a way to make statuses hide (new created statuses) from everyone except the System Admins?

We created some statuses that we want to use on our story board, e.g., UAT, Requires Approval, etc.

However, it's just for us sys admins; is there a way to use our newly created statuses without them been seen by everyone else in the system?

    Hi Deadre,

    Thanks for posting a great question. Straight up that isn't really doable, but is a great option to post in the Innovation Lab. You could in theory, make the status only available for a specific group… But if a user goes to the project they would be able to see those statuses and utilize them as well. You cannot restrict access to just sys admins like you were hoping.

      Hi @DeadreDi 

      As @kynabaker16 mentioned, you can always set those custom status to a group for System Admins, but as soon as you use the status on a project visible to other users, they are able to see the same status. Although, they would not be able to see it if they change it to some other status and want to change it back.

      I would suggest using a custom field with a status dropdown in a section/custom form that is visible only to System Admins. In this way, system admins are free to mark the projects by the custom status and other users are not affected.
