Is it possible to "lock" a document so it can't be turned into a proof?

Our designers upload final files in Workfront and then "move" them into our Assets repository. Is it possible to lock those documents in Workfront so that marketers are prevented from creating a proof? We would prefer that the Marketer download the final file and start a new proofing workflow separate from the final file.

Its not possible to keep a doc (or lock it) from being turned into a proof, even if you check out the document a person can still create a proof from that document.  This might be a good item to put in the Ideas section to see if Engineering is hearing more needs for this.

@kurt_jones This was helpful, thank you! Do you know - Is there a way to see which ideas are in consideration for future DEV? (A sorta roadmap?) For instance, is this "lock" idea under review by Engineering, is it a common request, etc.?

At the top of the community page you'll see Ideas as a clickable area, that is where we can input anything for Engineering teams to consider.  I did a quick search and does look like folks have been asking for a feature like this for some time, though it doesn't have a lot of likes to surface it more, https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/ability-to-lock-documents/idi-p/523320
