When you click on the documents tab or in a project, you can see all the documents but many of those documents are tied to a task. In the Standard view, you do not see the task. Yes you can click to List view and modify to see objects but the default view is the standard view. It would be helpful to see project/task underneath the file name.

Would also like to see this same feature when a document is uploaded to an Issue object.

would also like to see comments on a specific document copied into the main update tab with a note as to which document and task this is tied to. have you ever tried to look at 150 tasks in one job to try to find a comment?

Marnie, there is a way to show task name for the document. You do have to switch your view to a list view rather than the standard view. When you have it as a list view, you would then be able to customize the view for the document and add a task name with the view. My attachment shows my document name and task name.

It would also help if documents attached to a TASK can be uploaded into a specific folder that can be viewed or created at a project level. This way, for example if we are uploading invoices related to the project, all invoices can be seen under one folder at the project or task level.

This will help organize documents within related folders.

Currently there is no linkage between folders at the project level and task level.

As mentioned above, there is a way to do this, but my thought is that it this List view should be the default.

When a user finds a document via the search, there is NO easy way for them to know which parent object the document has (e.g. task/project).

Going back to the original comment, the task seems to appear when navigating to the document details from the Home screen. However the breadcrumbs don't appear when you navigate to the document details from the task document tab. The breadcrumb instead is under the system updates, which is inconsistent with the other view.

We are working on a re-designed user interface on the document pages which is scheduled for release later this year and will consider this as part of that work. More to follow
