If I delete an Asset Type, will that fall off past project reporting?

I am planning to refine and standardize the marketing asset types and associated deliverables used in Workfront. If I delete an asset type, will that fall off past project reporting? Is there a way to just archive an old option on a field and not completely delete?

    Hi Cory, 

     

    Are you referring to a list of Assets within a custom field drop down? If so, you can hide options in a drop down without losing the data collected in previous forms filled. The option just won’t appear for future form filling. 

    In your field list, to the right of each option, you should see the Gear icon. Click on this and chose Hide Choice.

    Bonus: You can even report on hidden choices. Always beneficial when doing EoY reporting on options that were deprecated mid-way through the year.
