I have created Group Statuses and it will not allow me to hide any status (custom or otherwise) that has an attribute of Default - WHY?

I am trying to create group statuses that manage various parts of a project, but the system will not let me hide anything that is listed as default (nothing mandatory) and I am baffled.

I keep getting an error message saying "whoops! Something went wrong. Please contact Workfront so we can figure out what went wrong and fix it"

Help!

Thanks,

Beth

If you are trying to hide the non-required default statuses, then you are correct. This was a glitch in the new layout they pushed. I put in a ticket last week, and it should be resolved. I would suggest trying again.

Yes, this is by design.  Default statuses cannot be hidden.

I am doing it at a group level so I thought I could re-arrange?

If you are in your group and not the System Statuses then you should be able to hide default items at the group level as long as they dont show Locked as an attribute.  The UI of the status page was recently updated so you may need a support ticket if you keep seeing errors.  You can also change the name of a Default status when you're in a group, if needed.  When you hide an item, it will ask you what status those hidden items should point to for status.

@bethda3 I was running into some issues when making changes in the group status area last week. I got busy and decided to check back later. Earlier today I was able to successfully make the changes. Fingers crossed, things are fixed for you as well.
