Hiding System Captured Fields in an Issue Details

Within our Issue Task there are a bunch of System Captured Fields that show up in the "Issue Details" tab which we have no use for. We've been told that these System Captured Fields cannot be hidden. If that is true, is there an alternate way to make it so they don't display. No one uses these at all, nor the requestor or end user of this issue form, so we'd like to remove/hide so there is less confusion.

 

Attaching an image for reference. Note that there are only a few fields listed but there are about 10 more listed that we do not use at all. We are the end users of this form and no other teams use the form.

A system or group admin can do it at the layout template level:

Your screenshot looks like it came from a section in your custom form. If this is the case, I recommend you talk to your system/group admin about whether or not these fields continue to be needed.

 

Some of the things admins have done in our instance are:

 

* store fields like this in a separate "universal" form, so that it's not as visible

* store it in a section and then "hide" the section unless a particular checkbox field is selected

* put access permissions on the section so that only admins can see it
