Hiding Milestone View

This is yet another seemingly random, arbitrary "WTH?" moment when configuring...we're not using Milestones at all and want to remove it from the View menu so as not to confuse the users, but it is the only one I can't hide or delete via Layout Templates or List Controls. Just...wha?
