Group vs User Email Notifications

Hi folks, I thought it would be easy to find if a user's email notifications overrides the Group's email notifications they're a part of or the other way around. I had some users do a couple tests and getting different results. Documentation doesn't outline this, at least not anything I could find. Does someone have a definitive answer?

in my opinion, this would be in the userprefs collection (similar to what was outlined here https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/report-on-quot-send-work-i-assign-to-myself-to-my-working-on-tab/m-p/598680#M54028 ) but what outputs is pretty gibberish. If there's a particular notification that you were interested in, you would have to know the name of it and how it manifests in the content displayed when utilizing this collection. (It may be easier to output it to an excel spreadsheet and reformat for what you're looking for)
