Field mapping for integration

Good Morning - I think I know the answer, but can someone please confirm. We are in process of migrating assets from WF to Aprimo DAM and I just want to be certain before we test that I have correct naming conventions.

in WF I need to have the "Name" of field match:

Label: Asset Type

Name: AssetType

and then the "Values" needs to match in options list? so:

Option 1: Document / Text

Option 1 Value: DocumentText

I hope this makes sense to somebody out there....I have never been through this process - and as an aside I am having to create a custom form with new fields to map and BULK EDIT and attach to thousands of projects...taking any best practice advice I can get but I'm guessing meta data will be much more robust and we take what we can get for migration. (initial push is through fusion)
