'Everyone in the system can view' ... Except Contributors

Before Adobe combined the Requestor and Reviewer Access Levels, reviewer had the ability to view project, portfolio, reports, etc.. if the share setting 'Everyone in the system can view' was selected.  Since we now only have one Access Level called Contributor, this setting is non-functional and explicit shared users must be selected otherwise Contributors cannot view these resources.

This is clearly and oversight when merging the previous access levels and needs to be reversed.  The 'Everyone in the system can view' is false and should not be an exception with a hidden meaning that is not reflected in any documentation.

Hi @Patriot,

Can you check what are the settings in your Contributor. Per default the Contributor should have able to view: Projects, Tasks, Reports, … Here is the screenshot

During our migration, the old access levels Requestor and Reviewer were not removed by Adobe, only the license was updated. Adobe added the new and keep the old access levels. New provisioned Workfront instances have only new access levels.

Have you check if the old access level don’t exist anymore in your Workfront instance.

Yes, the Contributor access level has permission to view projects. The 'Everyone in the system can view' share setting will not provide view access to Contributors, they have to be explicitly called out in the project/report Share dialog. Previously, the ‘Reviewer’ access level did not have this problem, but the Requestor did.

All of our Reviewer’s (we have a lot of there) were given the ‘Light’ license type after the merge.

I checked it. When I have an user with Contributor access level, I can’t open the project which was shared with everyone.

I would open a support ticket with Adobe, because it feels like a bug to me.
