[Event Follow-Up] Adobe Workfront Second Quarter 2026 Release Webinar - April 9, 2026

As the Workfront Second Quarter Release is scheduled for next week (April 16 - Quarterly Release, April 15 - Monthly/Fast Release), this webinar highlighted a handful of enhancements coming to Advanced Enterprise Operations, Unified Approvals (the future of proofing in Workfront), Reporting, Fusion, and Workfront Planning. There are several demos in the on-demand recording, so it’s a bit longer than usual - plan for 75 minutes unless you watch on 2x speed.

If you weren't able to attend - no worries! The links to the slide deck, recording, and Q&A are listed below. Be sure to review the release notes on Experience League, as not all feature enhancements were covered in the webinar today!

  • Webinar Recording

  • Slide Deck PDF - note that the videos cannot be replayed in the slide deck PDF, so I’ve included links to those below

    • All videos from the section, Advanced Enterprise Operations Enhancements, can be found here - Financial Management (slide 18), Enhanced Layout Templates (slide 20), Custom Form and Field Enhancements (slide 22), Custom Localization (slide 23), Historical Data Tracing (slide 24), Enterprise Permissions (slide 25), and Business Rules (slide 26)

    • Workfront + Frame Viewer (slide 30) - I wasn’t able to get a copy of this video, but Mike Engel, Senior Product Manager, delivered a fabulous session in March called Understanding Unified Approvals - Direction, Reporting, and What’s Next, so that would be a great resource to review to learn more about Workfront + Frame!

    • AEM Content Advisor (slide 33)

  • Q&A - this is a formatted export of the chat/Q&A from today’s session

And most importantly, a HUGE thank you to the Product Management team for sharing their expertise and answering the influx of questions in the chat! If you have any follow-up questions, be sure to post those as a reply to this discussion and we can take those back to the team for review.

Continue the Conversation...

We will be hosting deep-dive sessions for the new Advanced Enterprise Operations features as well as Workfront Planning in May, so if you are interested in learning more, register today!

Hi @NicholeVargas - Thank you for sharing the meeting notes.

I have a follow-up question related to Canvas reports.

Matt mentioned there are ideas to enable data interaction in Canvas reports. Is there currently any workaround for this? Thanks.

@_Manish_Singh thanks for the follow-up question.

I have two thoughts I’ll share with you:
1. (Not highlighted in the release webinar) With this release we are also changing the way we provide links to records. You will notice a new “pop out” icon for linked fields instead of representing the value as a link. This new approach does two things: a) it allows us to apply a wrap effect for long names,; and b) set the action to open in a new tab, so that you don’t lose your spot on the dashboard.

2. It is also still possible to place a classic report on a Canvas Dashboard. I know this still doesn’t help provide a way to adjust data for Planning records; however, for traditional Workflow data, this may provide a way for you to visualize the data with the flexible Canvas Dashboard layout capability, while using a classic report inline editing capability.

I forgot to ask this on the call yesterday: The custom form improvements in the Q2 release are impressive, but the typeahead field still supports single selection only. Are there any plans to enable multi-select in the future? Could you please check with the product team?

There is new functionality on the roadmap for this functionality but no ETA on when it will be released. More to come on internal lookup fields, so stay tuned!

One final question, since it wasn’t clear from the call and Adobe support doesn’t seem to know either.

Is Workfront Ultimate Package and Workflow Ultimate Package the same thing?

Workfront Ultimate package and Workflow Ultimate package are not the same. Your Account Manager will be able to clarify the difference, so please reach out to them for pricing, contract or package-related questions.

I saw that the Enterprise Operations Capabilities were scheduled to go to Preview on April 2nd. I’m trying to explore the new advanced display logic, it appears most of the rest of the changes noted in the description for these changes are live, but I cannot see the toggle for “Advanced Mode” in the display logic modal. Is there anything I might be missing here, or is that still pending to go live?

A few things to note about advanced display logic:

  • The new logic types (advanced display, default value, conditional formatting, and editability) are only available for organizations on the Workflow Prime or Ultimate packages
  • It is not supported in the form designer preview mode
  • Make sure that you have selected a custom field where advanced display logic can be applied: single line text, paragraph, text with formatting, single-select dropdown, multi-select dropdown, external lookup, multi-select external lookup, native field reference, typeahead, calculated, date, checkbox group, radio buttons

If you can confirm all of the above, and it’s still not showing up, check your browser zoom to ensure it’s set to 100% and if so, reach out to Customer Support!
