Delete the Sample Workspaces from Planning?

Has anyone figured out a way to remove or hide the Frescopa Sample Workspaces from all users in Planning? Support is saying there is no way to delete and to submit it as an idea but I wanted to see if anyone had any workarounds.

I can see it causing major confusion to our new users as we role this out when they try to add a new connected column and are overloaded with Frescopa Marketing fields.

I’m not sure my users can see them. I just logged in as a user, and they don’t have access to any tabs. Can you confirm on your instance whether any regular user can see the sample workspaces tab? How high up did you have to configure that user?

I just logged into a few different users (non-admin) and they can see all of the Sample Workspaces on their main page and in the New Connection dropdown :(

are you able to share what kind of contract your instance is on? If not, I would suggest you submit a ticket. I am testing in an instance that is on Workflow Ultimate, and here’s what I see in Preview Sandbox.

Hi @Kasey-Gagne , Support is right that there's currently no way to delete the built-in Frescopa sample workspaces, and unfortunately there isn't a clean admin toggle to hide them from all users either. Here's the background that helps explain what you're seeing.

The Frescopa sample workspaces were rolled out to all existing Planning customers in the June fast release. They're built-in example content designed so that all users can view and explore them, with System Admins able to modify them for testing. Because they're system-provided rather than user-created, they don't behave like a normal workspace you can delete, which is why the delete option isn't available to you.

To  question about contract type, that's a good line of investigation. There have been differences in how and when these appear across instances, so it's worth confirming with your account team whether the visibility on your instance is expected or something that can be adjusted at the provisioning level.

For the immediate confusion with new users seeing Frescopa fields in the New Connection dropdown, a couple of practical thoughts:

The realistic path right now is the product idea Support suggested, since a customer-facing control to hide or remove the sample workspaces doesn't exist yet. It's worth submitting and getting others to vote, as this is a common concern as Planning rolls out more widely.

I'd also keep an eye on the release notes, the product team has been actively working on Planning access and visibility, so admin-level controls for sample content may come in a future release.

Thank you for this information. We have Workflow Ultimate which is the same contract type that Skye mentioned that she has above but does not have the sample workspaces.

I will provide my contract information in my support ticket to see if that helps with anything and also submit as an idea.
