Default Sorting Table Reports on Canvas Dashboards

Question

I see that you can sort a table report on a canvas dashboard by clicking the column header which is expected behavior. But I see no option to set a defaul sort for table so that my end user does not have to sort the table everytime they come to the dashboard.

I have sorted by that column while in edit mode and it selection simply does not stay. Is there no way to do this?

Hi ​@ChrisFrancis93,unfortunately setting a persistent default sort on Canvas Dashboard table reports is not currently supported. The sort you apply while in edit mode does not save as a default for viewers, which is the limitation you're running into.Given that Canvas Dashboards is still in beta,it's worth submitting this as feedback via the beta feedback mechanism so the product team can prioritize it. You can do that directly from the Canvas Dashboard by following the instructions in the Canvas Dashboards beta overview.
