Current Task Column - from LEAP session

So, I learned this from LEAP last year and it works great.

you can see what task a Project is on without clicking into project then task list etc.

***But - we have a case where we have 2 templates being used on 1 project.

1 of them does NOT use predecessors ...hence, we get the current task from one template and ALL the tasks from the other.

Is there a way to eliminate everything EXCEPT the first task listed in that column?
