cannot add user to existing workfront proof

Unable to add existing user to current proof. I'm using the Share > Add Recipients option, the name/email comes up but nothing happens when I click on it. I've rebooted and tried in both chrome + safari.
 
When I searched the community board, the "workaround" provided was "Use another method to share the proof."
 
Anyone else experience this issue / have a solve?

UPDATE: I was able to share a link with the user then go into "proofing workflow" and adjust role + deadline.
